0 INTRODUCTION :
Research Issues : Application of Role-play in Teaching and Learning process at preschool.
Background of the problem :
Role-play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognized by the United
Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child.
Role-play is a type of pretend play where children get into character and act out a role or real
life context. Role play is an active, social activity where children can get into character and use
role play to reflect on and develop their knowledge of a topic. Whist role-play is a fun, and a
playful activity, it is also a key component of learning. Role play is an effective learning tool as
it encourages children to become active participants in their learning.
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE STUDY :
To investigate the relationship between the application of role-play with the effectively of
teaching and learning process.

creativity . (3)Role-play becomes a natural instrument for helping children to learn the skills
theyll need to continue to discover and create in a changing world. (4)One of the greatest
attributes of role-play is the opportunities it affords for learning to live with not knowing we all
learn more effectively through trial and error and play-role is a non-threatening way to cope
with new learning and still retain self-esteem and self-image

The relationship between role-play and learning process seems obvious to many practitioners
and parents, and yet there are still prejudices surrounding the importance of childrens role-play.
Some people believe that children need to work not play and that playing serves no useful
purpose in the learning and teaching process also in development of environment. This is
surprising considering that play, with its high levels of motivation and potential enjoyment
empowers children

1.5 STATEMENT OF HYPOTHESES (PROPOSITIONS)


The application of role-play is related with the effectiveness of teaching and learning process at
preschool.
1.6 LIMITATION OF RESEARCH (THEORETICAL UNDERPINNING)
- Time limitation; Time table arrangement
- Commitment; Lack time; inability to manage time table very well.
- Transportation
- Information of journal/article; Bad internet connection and people.
