LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
FOR KIDS AND TEENS
FUN WITH FOREIGN LANGUAGES
Fun is the biggest motivator for children and young people and this also applies when learning a language.
For this reason, our language programs are designed in such a way that the participants are actively involved
from the outset for example through exciting role-playing activities, language games, varied exercises and
coverage of age-appropriate topics. Studying vocabulary and grammar is taboo!
Kids and teenagers are divided into small groups according to age (usually 47, 811 and 1217 years) and their prior
level of knowledge. This encourages interaction and ensures a relaxed atmosphere. Rapid learning success helps
them develop their personalities, instills confidence and opens up new possibilities at school or in their subsequent career choice.
Our language programs at a glance:
Kids and Teens weekly courses: regular weekly lessons
Kids and Teens holiday courses: daily lessons for an entire week during school holiday (Monday to Friday)
Kids and Teens Individual Instruction: intensive one-to-one language lessons at a Berlitz Center or in the
Berlitz Virtual Classroom
Kids and Teens Camps: Kids and teens benefit from the best possible combination of language learning and
recreation during the school holiday in many exciting locations.
Program benefits
36
Participants are grouped according to their linguistic abilities at the start of the camp
Language lessons in small groups of between eight and (maximum) 12 participants
Four 45-minute lessons a day with qualified language teachers
Interviews, role-playing, presentations and topical project work
All the participants receive a Berlitz certificate at the end of the camp

Our
top tip!
Some of the teaching content and exciting activities can be tailored specifically to your company for example, in
the form of interviews conducted with staff members, guided tours, etc. Berlitz will happily organize the whole
thing for you. The diverse holiday program is rounded off by sports activities and excursions.

ELS LANGUAGE CENTERS: ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING IN THE USA AND OTHER
COUNTRIES
The flexible ELS programs are available at approximately 80 attractive destinations in the USA, Canada,
Australia and elsewhere, and are usually held on a local university campus.
Students have the opportunity to learn English directly in a university environment and thus prepare themselves
to study in the USA. Completing an advanced ELS program fulfills the English language admission requirements
of more than 600 colleges and universities in the USA. Special holiday and semester programs and test preparation courses (TOEFL) round off the courses available.

6 LEVELS OF CULTURE
Organizational Culture
Corporate mergers and acquisitions frequently deliver below expectations, partly because cultural differences
are significantly underestimated and the cultural dynamics in an M&A experience are misunderstood.
Individual Culture
The building blocks of culture at any level are present in both intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics. Through
awareness and understanding of cultural conditioning, clients develop global leaders that drive change and
transformation.
Team Culture
The need to manage across time zones, language, technology, and a broad spectrum of cultural differences to
create a team culture is no small feat. Intact teams and interdependent work groups develop a shared team
culture to optimize collaboration across time zones, languages, technology, and cultural differences.
National/Societal Culture
Companies focus on opportunities in emerging markets to develop awareness of culturally conditioned behavior
and cultural dynamics and patterns by nationality.
Functional Culture
Cross-functional product or management teams manage and leverage their differences carefully, bridging
distinct cultural differences across their constituent units, creating a strong collective identity.
Social Identity Groups
The diversification of society has made differences by gender, generation, ethnicity, religious beliefs, affiliations,
and socio-economic class increasingly relevant. Diversity initiatives recognize the cultural context of gender,
racial/ethnic, generational and other social groups to leverage their unique contributions.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT
TAKING THE STING OUT OF CHANGE PROCESSES
Nothing is as constant as change, and it is happening increasingly often at ever-shorter intervals. Companies
are forced to adapt rapidly to survive in the marketplace, making change management a motivational task.
Change processes tend to be unpopular within a company, as the unknown initially causes pressure and uncertainty
among staff.
This is exactly where this seminar comes into play. It shows how to assign responsibility to teams, and how
employees can grow as individuals through these change processes. Learn practical ways to encourage
communication, innovation, creativity and effective networking within your company. Develop strategies to actively
include employees in the change process and motivate them to assume responsibility. This forms the basis for
the successful introduction of new structures into a company.

SELF-ORGANIZATION AND
TIME MANAGEMENT 1
FOCUSING ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS
When faced with more and more responsibilities that are increasingly diverse, your diary can get so full that theres
little time for planning and reflection. But time and energy are your most important resources. Self-organization and
time management are therefore key skills when it comes to successfully working towards your goals.
The participants in this seminar learn a repertoire of tried-and-tested and new concepts that will help them structure
their day better, prioritize and execute tasks more efficiently or delegate them to others. They will identify and then
use their own effective tools in order to manage their time better and refocus on what really matters.

CREATIVITY TECHNIQUES
THIS SEMINAR IS A GOOD IDEA
Faced with innovation and change processes, increasingly demanding customers and ever-tougher competition,
creativity is a key resource for any company. However, routines, tunnel vision and the urgency of day-to-day
business activities frequently inhibit existing creativity potential and prevent us from tackling tasks in new ways.
And yet there is creativity that lies dormant in all of us its simply a question of tapping it. The secret to this is to
push inhibitions aside, take the road less traveled and be open to new things.
In this seminar, you will learn how to get out of the rut of having the same thought processes and approaches
again and again. With the aid of both tried-and-tested and innovative creativity techniques, you will break
through established patterns to see things from a different perspective, enabling you to recognize a problem
more precisely, come up with new ideas and systematize your solution approaches. At the same time, you will
practice and develop effective strategies for selecting suitable ideas.

PRESENTATIONS 1
PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING
These days, presentations should not only be impressive in terms of content they also need to come across as
entertaining and professional. This first presentation module takes a structured approach to presentations and
teaches tips and tricks for successful presentation preparation and execution.
Bearing your topic and target group in mind, you will develop a winning dramaturgy that engages your audience.
You will make targeted use of visualisation elements and highlights, and will learn how to use PowerPoint and
other media more effectively. You will then present your results in a plenary session or as part of group work and
will jointly develop best practices.

PRESENTATIONS 2
A STRONG PERFORMANCE
When speaking to an audience, you are presenting not only your topic, but also yourself. This second presentation
module therefore focuses on verbal and non-verbal skills. Whether its in a meeting or an oral presentation, the
audience pays attention to the content and also to your body language, your intonation and the way you express
yourself.
Using various exercises for rhetoric and outward appearance, the seminar participants take a closer look at how
they behave in front of a group. They will give brief and spontaneous presentations, and will use the direct
feedback given (including video analysis, if requested) to permanently eliminate uncertainties.

FACILITATING INTERACTIVE
MEETINGS
TURNING MEETINGS INTO YOUR FAVORITE DISCIPLINE
It takes a high degree of personal, social, organizational and methodical expertise to prepare and conduct meetings
efficiently and expediently. Its never just about the matter at hand: its also always a question of the willingness to
work, the communication and the dynamic within the team.
Practical knowledge of discussion types and work stages helps the participants to conduct work meetings in a
structured manner. Moderation techniques serve as tried-and-tested tools with which to delegate tasks,
develop solutions and guarantee results. An example demonstration involving various team roles allows for
reflection and transfer.
