I would like to say thank you for our gratitude of this presentation of trusting me speaker in
this presentation
Finally I would like to welcome Mr. Zein as Manager Language Development Faculty of
academic and all the audience
Ladies and Gentlemen, the topic I would like to present today is INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY RIGHTS

and Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present the outline are about Intellectual Property
Rights have 4 grand point Definition IPRs, Scope IPRs, Example IPRs products and
Registration Tabel. Summary and Conclution

Point 1 The objectives

The Objectives of this presentation are introducing IPRs to the participants, describing what
IPRs is all about the participants, and IPRs registration data

Point 2 About IPRs


Point 2.1 Definition IPRs

Ladies and Gentlemen let us continue to Definition of IPRs.


IP shorthand Intellectual Property is the result of the ability to think/ intelligence (work,
creativity, and initiative) people who have values, including economic values
so IPRs is a wealth that resulted from the mind process producing a product or process that
is useful to humans and is recognized by the state based on laws and regulations that apply

Point 2.2 Scope IPRs

Well. Ladies and Gentlemen, IPRs 2 classification are Copyrights and Industrial Property
Rights
Industrial Property Rights are Paten, Trademark, Industrial Design, Circuit Layout, Trade
Secret and Plant Variety
and then Copyrights are Science, Arts, Literature, and Related Rights example are
Performer, Producer, Sound Recording and Broadcaster
-A trademark is a sign capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one enterprise from
those of other enterprises. Trademarks are protected by intellectual property rights. (mark
goods)
-Patent is Exclusive rights granted by the State to an Inventor for the invention in the field of
technology , for a given period to itself Invention or give consent to others to carry it out
-Industrial Design is value added to a product , where the product is to be attractive and
favored by consumers , could even be unique in the resale value

-Trade Secret is Information that is not known by the public in the field of technology and/or
business, has economic value because it is useful in business activities, and kept secret by the
owner of Trade Secret
-Three dimensional layout design of integrated circuit elements or IC that at least there is an
active element in a semiconductor material that is intended for the preparation of integrated
circuits ( ICs )
-And Copyright is Special rights for creators and recipients the right to publish or reproduce
his creation and give permission, to do so without reducing restrictions under applicable law
regulations

Point 2.3.1 Example IPRs Produk

Ladies and Gentlemen, let us move on to Example IPRs Products. As we see in the
example, 1 item consists of several products IPRs are :
1. Trademark is MI or Xiomi
2. Industrial Design is Dimensions of the product
3. Patent is Touchsreen technology
4. Layout Design is IC or Integrated Circuits
5. Copyrights is Software

3. Industrial Design is bottle
4. Copyrights are logo and reklame
5. and Geographical Indications is champagne

Point 2.4 Registration Tabel

Ladies and Gentlemen lets go on Registration Data at Ministry of Law and Human Rights
East Java Area. In this section, I would like to present percentation for the year 2014 from
IPRs Products. It is interested, because registration of Trademark at most than copyrights
25%, Patent 20%, Industrial Design 10%, and Trade secret only 5%

Point 3 Summary

Well the excellent Ladies and Gentlemen, we can summarize our previous presentation in to
2 main points as follows :
First, categorize IPRs in 2 parts, namely : Copyrights and Industrial Property Rights.
Second, from the legal aspect, in general, IPRs is defined as a legal protection given by the
state to a person/ group of persons or entitas set forth his ideas in the form of a copyrights
work to produce a new work

Point 3 Conclution

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, in conclution, At this time of IPRs has become a very
important issue and got a strategic place in national and international forums . This can be
seen with the inclusion of Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights ( TRIPS ) in
the WTO package* (1994). Thus, IPRs can no longer be released from the world of trade and
investment

I think that was all my presentation regarding about IPRs. Hopefully this coud help all of
