Objectives:
Read, discuss and identify the various components in describing a room
Write a paragraph describing a room
Points to consider when describing a room
1. Shape and size- round, square, big, wide, small
2. What are the walls made up of?- painted, decorated, clean, dirty, holes, smooth, textured,
drawings, pictures, posters
3. Windows- number, size, type, clean, dirty, cloudy
4. Ceiling what is it made up of?- sunroof, colour, high, low
5. What is the floor made up of?- holes, bricks, carpet, wood, tiles
6. Is the room air- conditioned? Or does air flow in freely from the windows
7. Is the room lit at night with electricity or oil lamps
8. What type of furniture is in the room?- old, new, wood, metal, colour, shape
9. Why do you like the room?- quiet, comfortable, , private, spacious, able to think freely,
do homework
10. What does the room smell like?- clean, stuffy, fragrant
11. What do other people say about your room?
