The graph shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940

and 2040 In three different countries namely Japan Sweden and USA.
Initially, in 1940s USA had the most number of 65 and above aged group people,
while Japan had the least by 1980s USA and Swedens proportion of 65 and above
aged population increased from 10-15% and 8-13% respectively while Japan showed
a decrease from 5-3%. By 2020, there was a sudden increase in Swedens
proportion from 13% to 20%, where USAs proportion decreased a bit from 15% to
14%. Japan showed a increase in the trend from 5% to 10%. By 2040 Japan leads in
the proportion rate with a proportion of almost 30%. The number of people with

65 and above age increased in all three countries with the highest rate in Japan
followed by Sweden and USA.
Task 2

I can undoubtedly say that universities should never accept equal number of male
and female students in every subject.
Every person must have equal rights in every areas irrespective of gender. The
same applies to academies. Selection to various courses must be made on the basis
of talent and excellence and not by gender competitive exams or tests must be
made and the selection must be based on that. Equal opportunities must be given
to all.
For example, if there are 50 seats for a course and the first 40 rank holders are
male and the rest female, then the batch must consist of 40 males and 10 females
and not 25 males and 25 males, similarly if all the rank holders are female, then the
batch must consist of only females. There is no point if the selection is based on
gender. Students who deserve must be selected and others rejected.
In order to balance the proportion a male with higher rank must not be rejected to
give female a seat and vice versa. The most eligible students should be selected
regardless of their gender. There is no point in education if a person with more
eligibility is rejected just to balance the proportion of males and females in the
batch.
There are many students who are unable to pursue their deserved course even if
they are eligible just because universities take the male-female proportion into

account. This must never happen and it must be ensured that selection procedure
happens only on the basis of eligibility criteria. Every university must follow the
pattern and hence it would help us to build a better academic system all over the
world.
