ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) Campus
has been established as a Technical Institute under
Anna University, Chennai by the Government of
Tamil Nadu on 2007. It offers higher education in
Engineering and Technology as UnderGraduate,
PostGraduate courses and Research Programmes.
This institute works with a mission to attain the goals
enshrined in the vision to transform students into
competent professional and responsible citizens by
focusing on integration, analysis, synthesis and
spreading of knowledge to meet the communal
needs. This institution creates technologically
superior persons as academicians, researchers,
industrialists by imparting the quality education and
aims to provide professional, experienced, national
and international points of contact, raise awareness
of the engineering profession and its role in society
to the wider community.
ABOUT TEQIP II
Technical Education Quality Improvement
Programme (TEQIP) Phase-II, a Centrally Sponsored
Scheme (CSS) implemented through Ministry of
Human Resource Development (MHRD) and State
Government which aims to upscale and support
ongoing efforts of Government of India (GOI) in
improving quality of technical education and
enhance existing capabilities of the Institutions to
become dynamic, demand-driven, quality
conscious, efficient, forward looking and responsive
to rapid economic and technological developments
occurring both at national and international levels. It
has a clear focus on outcomes to improve the overall
quality of existing engineering programmes. Anna
University, BIT campus, Tiruchirappalli is one among
the 6 colleges who got selected for this programme
in Tamil Nadu with project cost of Rs.10 crores. The
broad objectives of the Programme were derived
from the National Policy on Education are to create
an environment in which engineering institutions
selected under the Programme can achieve their
own set targets for attaining excellence and sustain
the same with autonomy and accountability,
support development plans including synergistic
Networking and Services to Community and
Economy of competitively selected institutions for
achieving higher standards, improve efficiency and
effectiveness of the technical education
management system in the States and Institutions
selected under the Programme.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTS - EEE/ECE

The Department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering (EEE) and Department of Electronics
and Communication Engineering (ECE) started in
2007 at Bharathidasan Institute of Technology
Campus Tiruchirappalli which has been a pioneer in
the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
that offers Under Graduate (B.E., Electrical and
Electronics Engineering) and Post Graduate (M.E.,
Power Systems Part Time) courses with core
Research and Development in Power Apparatus,
Systems and Robotics Lab. The research
specializations of the Department are Power
Systems, High Voltage, Power Electronics and Drives,
Control and Instrumentation, VLSI, Wireless Sensor
Networks, Embedded System Technology and Power
Engineering and Management. The Department of
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
started in 2003 offers Under Graduate (B.E.,
Electronics and Communication Engineering) and
Post Graduate (M.E., Communication Systems-Part
Time) programmes providing excellent career
opportunities in the wide area of Electronics and
Communication Engineering. The Department is
equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities
to aid academic and research experiments. Both the
Departments have a team of faculty members with
excellent academic and research experience.
OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE
The International Conference ICEEECS'16 aims to
provide a platform for promoting collaborations
among professional societies and enhancing
technical exchanges in the Electrical, Electronics and
Communication Engineering community in various
subject areas. It provides opportunities for the
different area delegates to exchange new ideas and
application experiences face to face, to establish
business or research relations and to find global
partners for future collaboration. This conference
results in significant contribution to the knowledge
in this up-to-date scientific field.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation and travel expenses shall be borne
by the participants during the period of the
conference. However, if requested, accommodation
can be arranged in the guest house / students' hostel
/ hotels on payment basis based on availability.
Participants requiring accommodation may mail
their request on or before 22nd September 2016.
