Officers were flagged down regarding a disorderly conduct. One of the involved
parties had a felony warrant from another county. During a search incident to
arrest, a small amount of synthetic marijuana and marijuana was located on his
person.

WILSON, M. R.

Deputy Hertwick made a traffic stop at Franklin St/Hess Ave in regards to a


vehicle driving with no headlights. He called for a DUI Grant car. Upon my
arrival I spoke with the driver OF-T.G.asked him to step out of the vehicle to do
some Field Sobriety tests.
I asked him if he had any weapons on him and he advised yes and started to reach
into his pockets. I told him to keep his hands out of his pockets, that I would
retrieve the weapon. Upon reaching into his left pocket I found a knife and a
glass pipe known for smoking marijuana. I tested the residue and it tested positive
for THC.

HERRMANN, E.

Officers were dispatched to 1201 W Columbia St for persons down. Officers


arrived and located a male and female asleep in their vehicle that was parked at the
gas pumps. The gas station attendant stated that the couple had been passed out in
their vehicle for over 2 hours and that prior to passing out, had come into the gas
station asking for "Xanax".
Officers were able to wake the female up, however, the male was responsive, but
not very alert. Inside the vehicle Officers located 48 Gabapentin 300 mg pills in a
bank money envelope. The female stated that the pills are neither of theirs, but that
the male subject uses them for his seizures. The pills are prescription only and are
not a controlled substance. Due to these pills not being either of their property,
they were taken and placed in EPD property for found property.

Officers responded to 208 Leslie Ave reference an assault. The victim stated she
got into an argument with her adult son. During the argument she became scared
and wished to call for help but the offender took her phone. The victim stated she
wrestled the phone back from the offender and attempted to flee the house. As the
victim attempted to open the door, the offender slammed it closed onto the victims
fingers. AMR responded and transported the victim to Deaconess ER for treatment
for moderate injuries. CSU took photos of the victims injuries.

(C), at 844 Stanley Ave, Evansville, IN, between 14:35, 11/05/2016 and 16:00,

AMUZIE, T. D.

Officers were dispatched to 844 Stanley Ave for a standby. Enroute dispatch
advised that the reporter was inside of the residence screaming. On scene, Officers
spoke with both parties. Both parties advised that they were married. The victim
advised that she was battered and cut with a knife by her husband (Johnny
Vanover). The suspect was placed under arrest and escorted to my police vehicle.
While walking to my police vehicle the Vanover lunged at the victim. Force was
used and Vanover was secured in the back of my vehicle. Vanover was transported
to the jail for processing where he was booked in on the listed charges.

Officers were called in reference to what appeared to be an intoxicated driver.


After hitting a sign at 4100 Washington Ave it continued to the parking lot of 990
Green River Rd. A witness had followed the vehicle from east bound Washington
Ave to this location and had stayed on the phone with dispatch giving out
information.

POWERS, D. T.

Officers observed a vehicle fail to signal within 200 feet of turning at an


intersection. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of S.
Elliott St. and Taylor Ave. The driver provided officers with false information in
reference to her identity. The driver was discovered to have active warrants out of
Vanderburgh County. A syringe was also discovered in the vehicle, as well as
green leaf-like substance which field tested positive for THC. The driver was
transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail for booking.

Officers assisted detectives with a detail recovering a stolen cell phone (16-24842).
The OF arrived to meet the victim to exchange the cell phone for payment. The OF
was taken into custody and during a search incident to arrest, prescription pills and
syringes were located. The OF also had her 5 year old daughter with her at the
time of arrest. The OF was then transported to VCCC.

Officers were dispatched to 2423 N New York Ave for a criminal mischief report.
On scene, the victim advised that someone threw a brick through his window. The
victim and the two witnesses went outside to see who did the damage. They told
me that someone who was involved in an argument threw something through the
window of 2505 N New York Ave. They advised that the offender came out of his
residence next door at 2505 N New York and threw a brick at the victim`s car
windshield.
Upon investigation it was found that the offender also sexually battered one of the
witnesses involved (Ref case #1624943). Both the victim and the resident of 2505
N New York were given case numbers.

On today`s date I was tasked by dispatch to call this number, 502-601-7010, and
talk to a Dekenan Jones about a check welfare run I made last night to 3506 Taylor
Ave.
He expressed his concern that the subject of the check welfare, Charlotte
Williams, was not answering her phone and had not been on Facebook.
I assured him that I had spoken to the female and that she was fine. She had
turned her phone off because she did not want to talk to anyone. I even shared an
amusing anecdote regarding waking up her kids and scarring her by knocking on
her door at that late hour.
He does not live locally, and may call in more welfare checks on the female. He
says he is concerned because her abuser was just released from jail.
The audio should have been captured by my body cam. The red light indicated
that it was on.

Received a call from this address reference shot fired. The caller says he heard 2
shots, followed by 4 rapid shots. We spoke to the caller, the resident at 1961,
another neighbor, and the residents at 1105 Federick. They all heard the same
number of shots in the same sequence, but they differ on location and direction.
We checked houses, cars, sidewalks and the street for any evidence and located
nothing.

in progress. Upon arrival, I spoke with the victim. She advised the offender
pushed her way into the apartment. She stated she was quickly pushed out and
before she left, threw rocks at the window. The offenders were not on scene upon
arrival. The victim was given a case number.

Henning. Officers arrived and recovered the items that appeared to be from a theft
from a vehicle. Officers drove through the area and discovered that Jessica
Baxter`s vehicle had been broken into through the passenger window. Officers
located Jessica and she checked her vehicle and discovered that her purse was
taken from the vehicle. No further information at time of report.

VI advised that the OF intentionally ran over the foot of her service dog and then
said that it should be shot. OF was located inside the store and was asked to leave,
per management request, and he did so.

Evansville, IN, between 13:10, 11/05/2016 and 13:13, 11/05/2016. Reported:

On, 110516 at 1313hrs, an unknown suspect called 911 and advised the dispatcher
that he was contracted to place a bomb outside Danks and Danks. He sounded as
if he was disguising his voice and claimed to be a member of ISIS.
The Danks and Danks building address was not clear. Officers checked the old
office at, 1010 Sycamore and found nothing. Officers also checked the, 1 SE
Ninth St, address and could not locate anything out of the ordinary.
A second caller also called in to dispatch and claimed to be watching the building
armed with a sniper rifle.
The callers were on the phone for a while and Officer Sitzman was able to
communicate with one of them.
With no further leads, Officers were advised to go available by Sgt Wilson and Sgt

due to illness. He had made a plan to make up the visitation today. He and his ex
used a family court app that allows them to schedule visitation with one another
easier. The ex did not allow the visit to take place even though it had been
scheduled by caller within the app.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Garvin St. and Maryland St


reference a subject with a gun. Caller stated a white male wearing a white shirt and
dark pants was near the intersection pointing a gun. Officers arrived in the area
and stopped a subject on Garvin St just north of Maryland St that matched the
description. As officers approached the subject the offender was also on the same
side walk closer to Oregon St. The offender then began to run north on Garvin St,
and also was wearing a light colored shirt and dark pants.
The offender ignored officers commands to stop as they yelled and followed him
in a marked unit with emergency lights activated. As he was running officers
Rasche and Paulson observed him pulling a gun from the waist band of his pants.
Officers lost sight of the offender as he turned north in alley from Oregon St, west
of Garvin. A perimeter was set up and K9 was called to track. K9 located the listed
firearm laying on the north side of 1004 N Garvin St.
The IO told officers she knew the offender due to him dating her daughter. I,
Officer E. Rasche, have delt with the offender on many previous runs and also
identified him as the offender.
The offender was not located at this time.
The serial number on the listed firearm had been scratched off, and the offender
has a prior conviction for possession of handgun without a license (11/18/15:
82D02 1510 F6 6283). Crime Scene Unit was called to collect the firearm.

The victim called to report that he was attacked by the offender. The victim stated
he was watching his son play football when the offenders came up to him and
confront him about a girl issue that they are having. The victim stated that the OF1
swung and missed him. The victim stated he then defended himself. Once the
victim started defending himself, OF2 got involved and both offenders started
attacking the victim. The victim had a few bruises on his left eye and the right side
of his head but refused AMR.
The victim was given a case number and advised on how to follow through with
charges with the prosecutor.

suspect could have pushed it out of the side garage door. The victim stated her

Officers were dispatched to 335 S Red Bank Rd. (Walmart) reference a


shoplifter. On scene the RP stated he observed the offender take the listed items
from the shelves, cut the packages open, and place them in his pockets. The
offender then walked past all points of sale without paying for the merchandise
were he was stopped by Loss Prevention (RP).
The offender admitted to officers he took the items without paying for them
because he just likes knives so much he can`t help it when he takes them. He was
cited and released.

a year but they are no longer dating. He stated they broke up but he has been
unable to make her leave his home. They have started moving their belongings
into other rooms to stay away from each other. The victim stated a verbal
argument started in his bedroom on today`s date. He advised it was reference
property and the suspect refusing to sign a contract to leave by a future date. The
victim stated the suspect said he should be happy his gun wasn`t around because
he knew what would happen. She then pushed him causing him to fall and hurt his
hand on the corner of a dresser. The victim advised he wanted a report because he
was trying to obtain a protective order. The victim had a small scratch on the palm
of his left hand.

The OF-R.K. was fighting with someone and slammed this individual into the
driver`s side door of the Victim`s-Hodge-Lowe vehicle. This caused denting and

Officers met with Loss Prevention of Kohls and subsequently apprehended a male
for leaving the store without paying for items that he had concealed on his person.
The male had also taken items earlier in the day, which he were wearing at the
time of his second theft. He was taken to jail and charged with two counts of
felony theft (he has a prior conviction for theft). Property was recovered.

Reporter saw a figure dressed in all dark clothing firing a gun at a dark blue
smaller and older vehicle. The vehicle continued south on Greenriver Rd. Shooter
ran north west through the apartments. Reporter lost sight of the suspect.
Casing was found on scene and crime scene collected the evidence.
