3rd 6-Weeks Project Option #1 - Map Your Mathematical Trip

In this project you will be assessed on your ability to solve linear equations and graph points on a coordinate plane
by going on a mathematical trip. This project will be due on ________________________________________.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Answer all the questions to find the coordinates of your position as you travel across the United
States (show ALL work).
Step 2 Plot the coordinates on your map and connect them in order. Shade/color the entire state.
Step 3- On the back of your map, list, in order, the states you visited on your trip, their capitals, and one
other fact that interests you about each state (ex. state bird, popular tourist attraction, etc).
Step 4- On the index card provided, decorate a mini-postcard of the state you enjoyed best (be creative).
TIMELINE:
* Mon. Nov. 7: Project assigned.
* Mon. Nov. 14: CHECK POINT #1 ALL 10 ordered pairs must be found.
* Tues. Nov. 15: Turn in project for 10 points extra credit.
* Thurs. Nov. 17: Completed project due with rubric attached!
