7. Organization plan
7.1 Form of ownership
Coffee and Tea Corporation first start as a small business that start out as a sole
proprietorship. The firm are own by Sir Alex Thompson, who has a passion in coffee that
drive him to start his own business.

7.2 Identification of ownership


Sir Alex Thompson graduated as a business administration student. After graduation,
he worked at a famous Coffee company for two years. It was a good experience for him to
work there. The company he worked for at that time was an award winning eatery, many
people knows the shop because of its extensive menu and casual setting.
After two years of working, he decides to leave his job and to start pursue him dream.
During the years of working, he learns how the business run in the company and was able to
learn from it. After considerable thought, he then uses the knowledge he gain and willing to
take to risk and start out a business in the Food & Beverage industry which is the Coffee and
Tea Corporation. Until today, he has a total 69 outlets in Malaysia.

7.4 Roles and responsibilities of members of organization


7.4.1 Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sir Alex Thompson responsibilities are:
1) Determine and set the organization strategic and goal direction.
2) Building the culture of the organization because a poor working environment can
drive away some good employee.
3) Team buildings to making sure the team member are working together in a same
direction by communicating and set a clear direction so that the member can rally
together.
4) Supervise all activities and overall strategic to ensure they produce the desired result.

7.4.2 Administrative Manager


The task for the administrative manager (Vezron Vinod Selvmogan) is:
1) Responsible to administrative the staff and ensure the facilities are equipped with the
needed service.
2) Managing the operational budget and negotiate the prices with the suppliers
3) In charge of distribute the supplies and maintain the inventory
4) Ensure that the employee have enough supplies to do their daily operation.

7.4.3 Financial Manager


The role and responsibility of the financial manager (Tan Kah Chun) are included in
the following list:
1) Provide a monthly and yearly financial report and information to the higher ups and
recommending a further course action.
2) Compared the business plan with the analyzing of the pricing, cost, sales performance
and the organization actual performance.
3) Guide and suggest which investment activities and strategies that the company should
carry out.
4) Collaborate with the auditors to monitor and ensure the company finances are
maintained.

7.4.4 Marketing Manager


The role and responsibility for the marketing manager (Encore) are included in the
following list:
1) Develop strategies and plan for the company marketing plan by researching and
developing marketing opportunities.
2) Build and discover a business relationship with other agencies, investor and key
industry player.
3) Develop and produce content for the company website and blog that can attract more
people and make the advertisement on the company product and services.
4) In charge on the measurement and report performance of the company marketing
campaigns, assess and profit against the goal.

7.4.5 Human Resource Manager


The task and responsibility for the human resource manager (Imran) are included in
the following list:
1) Managing on the recruitment, hiring, selecting and orienting process of the company.
2) Maintain and update the company work structure of the job requirement and
description for all position.
3) Manage and prepare employee with the training need and monitor their training
programs.
4) Maintain a pay plan by carry out the pay survey and recommend, develop and
implement the pay structure.

7.4.6 Product Manager


The role and responsibility for the product manager( Lai Chang Hang) are included in
the following list:
1) Research and identify the product gaps and develop new idea on the company
product.
2) Manage and develop the company product pricing.
3) Responsible for launching new product and expand an established one as well.
4) Represent the company by interacting with customer to obtain their feedback on the
company product and services.
