On March 2, 2015, the journal Nature Communications publishes first

image of one of the fundamental properties of matter. For the first time
light is captured in a photo simultaneously behaving as a wave and a
particle. Since Einsteins epoch, scientists have tried to directly observe
these two aspects of light simultaneously. This particular state in which light
behaves as both wave and matter has been proven many times over the
past century, but only with the help of a scanning transmission electron
microscope (STEM)-EELS this phenomenon has been fixed in an image for
the first time.
The exhibition Haz explored the plastic qualities and materiality of light
through a series of situations where it is absorbed refracted and reflected
in everyday contexts. Somehow emulating the role of a microscope or
scientific instruments, the artworks in Haz function as instruments/tools of
bodily perception. Following the logic of an experiment, the exhibition
space becomes a mechanism to apprehend luminous phenomena.
