INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose
To explain about characteristic between dicotyl plant and
monocotyl plant.
To explain the example dicotyl and monocotyl plant.

1.2 Introduction
Dicotyl plants and monocotyl plants are included in
angiosperms. Angiosperm plants are distinguished or divided into
two kinds, namely plants yielding seed pieces one or called
monocots (Monocotyledonae) and two pieces of seed plants or
also

called

dicotyl

(Dicotyledonae).

Angiosperm plants are the most numerous species of all higher

plants, covering approximately 300,000 species. It said seed
plants closed because of ovules in the ovary are protected by the
leaves of the fruit. Plant seeds of closed very important for
human and animal life, because this is the plant that provides
nearly all foods derived from plants.

- Looking for material to be observed
- Then observe the types of plants
- Observing bone shape of leaves, and calculate the amount of interest
- Observing more closely at the roots of the plants were observed
- Retrieve data

Classification of seed plants closed

The main characteristic used to classify seed plants closed is the

nature and circumstances of seeds. Seeds on this plant group has
food reserves called keeping seeds (cotyledon). The seed pieces
actually leaves the beginner as early growth when the seeds grow.
Based on the number of pieces of seed. There are plants that have
the one keeping the seeds of plants classified as monocots, and
there are two pieces that have seeds which are grouped become
dicotyledonous plants (plants sides).
Other characteristics to distinguish between monocot and dicot
plants among which can be seen from parts of the plant body, such
as the roots, stems, leaves and flowers.

Some parts of dicotyle plants and monocotyl :

Dicotyl plants :
1. Euphorbiaceae (sap): for example, rubber, cassava, jackfruit,
jackfruit, croton, hazelnut , etc.
2. Papilionaceae (nuts): various nuts such as peanuts, beans, green
beans, green beans, dadap, Turi, Crotalaria juncea, etc.
3. Solanaceae (eggplants): potato, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers,
tobacco, etc.
4. Rutaceae (orange): various citrus
5. Malvaceae (cotton-Kapasan): cotton, hibiscus, hibiscus, sidaguri,
etc.
6. Rubiaceae (coffee group): a wide-mcam coffee, flowers Nusa
endah, plate glass flowers, etc.
Monocotyl plants :
1. Gramineae or Poaceae (grasses): various grasses, rice, corn,
sugar cane, reeds.
2. Palmae or Arecaceae (palm-paleman): nut, palm, sago, palm,
bark, etc.
3. Orchidaceae (orchid group): Various types of orchids
4. musaceae (plantain): assorted banana
5. Pandanaceae (pandan): Various pandan
6. Zingiberaceae (gingers): ginger, galangal, turmeric, etc.

CHAPTER V
Conclusion
Plants can be divided into dicotyl angiosperms and monocotyl
-

Monocotyl (dashed one) has characteristics that root fibers, curved and
parallel leaf, flower multiples of 3, does not have the cambium, the

carrier beam spread.

Example : nut, palm, sago, palm, bark.
Dicotyl (dashed two) has characteristics that taproot, finger-leaves and
pinnate leaves, flowers multiples of 2, 4 and 5, have cambium, circular
transporter beam.
Example : rubber, cassava, jackfruit, jackfruit, croton, hazelnut.
