Caboviso Selects Sigma Systems for Device Provisioning

Portuguese cable operator to use Sigma Systems OSS solutions for PacketCable and
SIP device provisioning

TORONTO June 8, 2010 Sigma Systems, an industry leader in Advanced IP

Service Fulfillment solutions, announced today that Caboviso SA has selected its next-
generation OSS solutions to provision PacketCable and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
devices.

Caboviso, a Portuguese cable operator, is a pioneer in Europe in offering triple-play

telecommunication services. Caboviso delivers cable TV, VoIP and high-speed
broadband services to residential customers, along with commercial broadband and
voice services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Portugal. Sigma
Systems already supports the service delivery of Cabovisos home phone and
broadband offerings to more than 440,000 subscribers.

Caboviso will deploy the Device Provisioning Manager, which is part of the Sigma
Systems Service Management Portfolio of IP service fulfillment solutions. The Device
Provisioning Manager will allow Caboviso to:
- Simplify activation and management of its triple-play bundle
- Cost-effectively scale as its subscriber base grows
- Auto-configure and provision business and residential customer-premises
equipment, including PacketCable, SIP, DOCSIS 3.0 and IPv6 devices.

At Caboviso, we pride ourselves on offering innovation to our customers in Portugal,

said Alexandre Fonseca, Group Director for Technology & Information Systems Area in
Caboviso. As we look to expand our SMB offerings to include SIP-based VoIP and
grow our market share, we chose Sigma Systems OSS solutions to automate our
device provisioning processes, and to stabilize our back-office.

Caboviso is in a very competitive market, said Tim Spencer, president and COO of
Sigma Systems. As its partner, Sigma Systems is committed to helping Caboviso
continue to deploy new and differentiated features and services, and easily implement
the latest standards such as DOCSIS 3.0 and IPv6, while also reducing its operating
costs by fully automating service delivery.
