First, I modified the names of the instruments so that the sound (chosen inside
of musescore via Display>Mixer)
have the section they belong to before them in this format:
(STR) = Strings
(WWS) = Woodwinds
(BRASS) = Nose blowing old guys... (The label should honestly be self explanator
y)
All other instruments are mainly alone, and although they do have sections,
and some might belong to the above sections, I only included the main, most comm
only used instruments in those sections.
The purpose of the sections is to allow you to quickly find the sounds you need.
The instruments I have added to the default MIDI is here (in order of appearance
in the mixer menu from top to bottom):
>Steinway Piano (Turn down the chorus effect all the way to get clearest quality
)
>Glockenspiel
>Xylophone
>SOLO VIOLIN (FINALLY!!!!!)
>Solo Cello
>Tremolo Strings (Can't seem to get musescore to play tremolo... BUT ITS THERE!)

v2.1 bugfixes and additions:
-First, I made the better timpani sound the default, so you don't have to contin
ually switch.
-Next, I upped the volume on the trombone slightly.
-I then GREATLY increased the tuba volume (might still be a little quiet, but no
t almost non-present.)
-I also replaced the old orchestra drumset with the new one as the default. You
can still switch to the old one manually if you want. (might have to switch it 2
times or so to get it to register... just a musescore problem.)
-Finally, I took a full day learning a crash course on actual midi editing for y
ou guys, and changed the french horn sound to the right octave. you guys better
be thankful!!!!! That took me hours and hours!
-Finally, I would appreciate it if you would spread the word, share this post, e
tc. Try to get it out to other people and make their lives easier.
