3. Explain what the tragedy of the commons is.


It is a well-known phenomenon to environmentalist and economists, about
incentives and valuable resources.

4. Explain how Elephants are a good example of the Tragedy of the Commons.
Elephants are considered a renewable resource and the ivory deal got lots of
attention in the late 1980s. The IWC ended up getting elephant poaching
banned, despite the normal populations of the elephants. By increasing the
efforts in getting the ivory trade banned, the people were able to save
elephants before their population was majorly impacted and thus avoided a
tragedy of commons.

WHY?
The bunny population depleted before the bunnies had the chance to
reproduce in the public version, while players can conserve the bunnies in the
private game.
