Training Readiness Levels of
Units
GHQ SOP Nr 20 dated 11 August 2014 on AFP Joint
Readiness Reporting System provides the parameters
in determining the training readiness of PA major units.
The policy primarily adheres to operationally ready and
available crews (ORAC) and mission essential tasks
trained (METT) methods of computation. It is also a major requirement of DSOM, ATR, PPBER and other periodic reports for planning, programming, and budgeting.
The target for training readiness of PAMUs for CY 2016 is
87% or R1, which is classified as Highly Proficient units.
This figure was conservatively set in order to contribute
to the operational readiness condition of PAMUs.

Areas (CRTAs)
The development of Combat Readiness Training Areas
or CRTAs stemmed from the requirements of the Philippine Army Battalions of Excellence (PA BOE) Project
under the Philippine Defense Reform Program. The
main purpose of developing these areas is to increase
the Unit Training Readiness of Army units. The Armys
current effort for the development of these CRTAs is
the crafting of Master Development Plan initially for
Fort Magsasay CRTA, which will be used for the eventual development of the two (2) other sites namely,
Kibaritan Military Reservation in Bukidnon and Camp
Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz. Fund for the crafting of
said master plan was already incorporated in the APB
