Note
1
A minimum 10% additional over-surface margin on the total surface area should be applied after taking into account the tube side
Vendor to guarantee thermal performance, power requirement, hydraulic and mechanical design of the cooler.
Vendor to confirm total number of bays, bundles, tube rows, passes, fin type configuration, and fan type.
Supplier shall consider the maximum air inlet temperature of 100 oF in the design of air cooler.
and air side fouling. No additional margin will be applied to flow rates or duties.
Total of five (5) identical units required, which consist of one unit for each five (5) compressor train.
Flow rate and duty shown is for one unit. No flow rate and duty margin will be applied.
10 Vendor to consider H2S 40 ppm and Mercury 750 g/Nm3 in inlet composition for material selection.
11 VTA = Vendor To Advise.
12 Stud bolts and nut shall be Hot Dip Spun Galvanized.
13 Cooler must be designed to can operate at all cases (5 case) as specified on process datasheet B-84567-SB-PPO-DSR-ST-23-0002.
14 Header flow area shall be 125% of tube pass area.
15 The total number of bays and fans required, inlet / outlet piping size and arrangement to minimize flow mal-distribution in header
boxes shall be as per Vendor recommendation. Thermal rating and exchanger design area shall take into account.
16
Fan tip speed shall not exceed 200 feet per second refer to Spec. no. B-84567-SB-MM1-SPC-ST-00-0301 Section 6.8.7.
17 Fan selection at design conditions shall ensure that at rated speed the fan can provide, by an increase in blade angle, a 10 % increase in
air flow with a corresponding pressure increase. Since this requirement is to prevent stall and inefficient operation of fan, the resulting
increased power requirement need not govern the driver rating.
18 Fan shall be completed with removable fan guards.
19 This data sheet shall be read in conjunction with process data sheet B-84567-SB-PP0-DSR-ST-23-0002 and
P&ID B-84567-SB-PP0-PID-ST-23-0035/0036/0037/0046/0049 (For Inlet Compressor Intercooler),
P&ID B-84567-SB-PP0-PID-ST-23-0015/0019/0022/0025/0032 (For Inlet Compressor Aftercooler).
20 Tubes to be free draining to the outlet header/nozzles. Tube bundle shall be slope 1:100 mm in the last pass towards outlet header.
21 Tube diameter less than 25.4 mm (1") but greater than 19 mm (3/4") may be used only prior approval by PURCHASER.
22 Tube length shall not exceed 40 ft.
23 Finned tubes shall have a maximum of 10 fins per inch.
24 Mechanical dimension and thermal details indicated in this data sheet are indicative only. Vendor to perform thermal
calculation to get the complete mechanical details.
25 The equipment should be designed with a maximum noise level 85 dBA at 3 ft, refer to specification
B-84567-SB-MM1-SPC-ST-00-0301 Air Cooled Heat Exchanger.
26 Vendor to calculate and specify thickness, header box, Tubes, Nozzle reinforcement, Lifting Lugs etc.
27 Design life of the equipment shall be 20 years.
28 All nozzles flange shall be in accordance with ASME B16.5
29 All steel bolting, nuts and washers shall be Hot Dip Galvanized. Refer to ID-N-BU-CC0-STS-GN-00-0005 Steel Structures.
30 All metallic materials shall be provided with inspection certificates in accordance with BS / EN 10204, 2004 edition,
type 3.1 certification for pressure and non pressure parts.
31 Vendor is responsible to provide all required documents to obtain MIGAS certification.
32 Vendor shall specify spare part for start-up and commissioning, 2 years operation and special tool like belt tensioner,
inclinometer (digital) shall be provided.
33 Vendor to provided exchanger setting plan.
34 Two earthing bosses to be provided diagonally at support. Refer to Electrical Installation detail for earthing,
doc. no. ID-N-BU-EE1-STS-GN-00-0001 and refer to Electrical requirements for packaged equipment's.
35 Fan blades shall have manually adjustable pitch (refer to doc. no. ID-G-BU-MM1-STS-GN-00-0301, Standard Specification for
Air Cooled Heat Exchanger). Section 6.8 Manually adjustable pitch to accommodate 100% up to 110% of air required (or capacity)
for the design thermal duty.
36 Motor shall have top cover to avoid water trap, to prevent rust and motor failure.

A minimum 10% over-surface margin on the total surface area should be applied after taking into account the tube side and air side fouling.
Vendor to guarantee thermal performance, hydraulic and mechanical design of the cooler.
Vendor to provide thermal calculation.
o
Vendor shall consider the maximum air inlet temperature of 100 F in the design of air cooler.
o
Minimum approach temperature for the design of air cooler is 20 F.
Flowrate and duty shown is for one unit. No flowrate margin will be applied.
Vendor to consider H2S 40 ppm and Mercury 750 g/Nm3 and CO2 (see gas composistion) in design for material selection study.
