Problems 19.3, 19.12, 19.17, 19.23, 19.34, 19.40, 19.48
Q. No. 1

A cube of 40 mm long edges is resting in the H.P. on one of its faces with a
vertical face inclined at 30o to the V.P.

Q. No. 2

A tetrahedron of 70 mm long edges is resting on one of its faces in the H.P.

with one side of that face perpendicular to V.P. It is cut by an auxiliary cutting
plane ( A.I.P.) so that true shape of section is a square of maximum size. Draw
the sectional top view, sectional side view and true shape of section. Measure
angle of cutting plane with the H.P.

Q. No. 3

A hexagonal prism, of base side 25 mm and axis 65 mm long, has its one
rectangular face in the H.P. and axis is inclined at 30 o to the V.P. Its one corner
of base is in the V.P. It is cut by a vertical plane at a distance 48 mm in front of
the V.P. Draw its sectional front view.

Q. No. 4

A hexagonal pyramid, base 30 mm side and axis 65 mm long, is resting on its

base in the H.P., with two edges parallel to the V.P. It is cut by a section plane
perpendicular to the V.P., inclined at 45o to the H.P. and intersecting the axis at
a point 25 mm above the base. Draw the front view, sectional top view,
sectional side view and true shape of section.

Q. No. 5

A cylinder, of 40 mm diameter and axis 50 mm long, is resting on its base in the

H.P. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to the V.P. and 45o to the H.P.
intersecting the axis at a point 14 mm from the top end. Draw its front view,
sectional top view and another sectional top view on an A.I.P. parallel to the
section plane.

Q. No. 6

A right circular cone, of 50 mm base diameter and axial height 60 mm, is

resting on its base in the H.P. It is cut by a sectional plane, normal to the V.P.
and at 45o to the H.P. and bisecting the axis. Draw its elevation, sectional plan,
sectional side view and true shape of section.

Q. No. 8

A right circular cone, of 60 mm base diameter and axis 60 mm long, is lying on

the ground on one of its generators, with the axis parallel to the V.P. A vertical
section plane parallel to the generator, which is tangent to the ellipse ( for the
base) in the top view, cuts the cone bisecting the axis, and removing the
portion containing apex. Draw the top view, sectional front view and true shap
of section.
