What is FOP (Family Oriented Programming)?

Bright Futures Play Academy is excited to offer parents, guardians, caregivers and their
child some additional resources to assist them in working with their child during the
developmental years. These additional resource are specific program ideas and
supports designed to assist you in raising a family while connecting you with community
partners in a fun, relaxed, informative atmosphere! These services are available to all
families who are registered with Bright Futures Play Academy and are referred to as
Family Oriented Programming.
Family Oriented Programming sessions provide parents, guardians and caregivers an
opportunity to participate with their child in fun activities together. These sessions focus
on a variety of topics which address many aspects of early childhood development and
enhance your childs school experience. Each session is designed to support parents,
guardians and caregivers in the following areas: Social Skills & Behaviour, Language &
Literacy Development, as well as Physical Skill Development.
A variety of sessions will be offered throughout the year. Your childs teacher will be
able to work with you on providing more ideas and suggestions on which sessions
would be most beneficial based on the needs of your child. These sessions are offered
at no cost to children who attend our Bright Futures Play Academy Programs. Families
of children who have identified additional needs and whose program is supported by an
Individual Program Plan (IPP) are encouraged to participate in a minimum of four
sessions throughout the school year.

We are excited to offer two sessions on November 25, 2016 in partnership with the
