2 year experience as a HSE officer in the field of Health, Safety and

Environment management mostly in Construction Projects. Currently I
am working as a HSE officer in Gulf Erection UAE on behalf of Al RUWASI
International Development. Among my qualifications I am graduated
from diploma Eng. fire and safety certification. First Aid and Firefighting
certified from civil defense India. My experience includes Task risk

JOBS ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dual reporting to Project Manager &QHSE Manager and advising on
potential hazards at work site, preferably staying at site.
Assisting in the development of permit to work procedures and setting
a high personal example of HSE Policy at all times.
Ensure site security, fire, first Aid and welfare facilities and procedures
appropriate to the works and provided daily properly maintained.
Carry out and record regular Site safety training and participation in site
safety trainings.
Monitor compliance with established site safety rules and make sure that
these are continuously posted.
Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the
observations on the daily observation register. Unsafe conditions and
unsafe acts are to be taken care of immediately. Raise near-miss/
incident Reports when highlighted.
Ensure all plant and equipment is fit for the purpose, adequately
maintained and possesses valid test certificates; ensure proper
maintenance, calibration of all safety equipment.
Assist the site Managers and site supervisors in undertaking risk
assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in
safe work method statements.
Assist supervisors in delivering Pre-task Briefings to the workforce on the
control measures identified in the risk assessments and the safe system
of work to be adhered to.
Assist the project Managers in the development of safety procedures for
high-risk activities and assist in the briefing of the workforce on their

responsibilities under these procedures. Audit against these procedures

regularly and report any non-compliance to the site Manger.
Advise the Supervisors and Project Manager relative to the requirements
the Company HSEMS.
To submit HSE statistics and other HSE reports to to clients fire, safety
and environment department as per requirement.
Check that all machinery including power and hand tools are maintained
and as per color coding procedure.
Advising about the storage of hazardous material or substances and
precautions to be taken.
Investigate all near-misses/ incidents and record them with
recommendations.
Inspecting firefighting equipments and various type of breathing
equipment sand PPE organizing and conducting of frequent fire and
rescue drill for company employees.
Report all HSE issues to head of HSE department, maintained first aid
facility record and emergency response team.
Conducting safety induction for new comers, HSE trainings, toll box talks,
safety meetings, emergency evacuation drill preparation and
documentation of HSE report.
Monitor statutory compliance by carrying out the regular inspection and
auditing the companies work.
Preparing and reviewing the HSE plan, hazard analysis and risk
assessment method of statements and HSE internal Trainings, tool box
talks and induction internally or externally depending on the project
requirement or under operating authority standards.
Preparing and reviewing the construction environmental plan (CEMP) and
environmental work method statements (EWMS), EIA (Environmental
impact assessment) study.
Periodical site inspections and audit of entire project activities through
implementation of HSE checklist, standard forms and procedures
( Daily, weekly and monthly), subcontractors and safety, conducting fire
evacuation drill quarterly HSE site inductions for new employees.
Develop procedures for high risk activities and brief management on
theirresponsibilities under these procedures, auditing against these
procedures regularly and any non- compliance to project manager
Performing first Aid treatment, update line management on new
legislation and investigate.
Practicing and maintain the HSE codes and standards throughout the
project and organization,ERP (Emergency response plan) preparation.
Advise on the requirements for site welfare and carry out regular
inspection of the facilities, reporting any breach HSEMS to the project
manager.
