1. This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in both Malay and English. / Tugasan ini
mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Inggeris.

3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MS-WORD format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain
from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print screen / etc. / Anda dikehendaki
menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MS-WORD melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak dibenarkan

4. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times
New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan
daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip

5. Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references. Do not copy the
assignment question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer developed within the
approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your
assignment. / Tugasan anda hendaklah mengandungi 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk
rujukan. Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin soalan

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
Parental involvement commonly refers to the participation of parents in all areas of their
childrens education and development on the premise that parents are the primary influence in
their childrens lives. There are many different types of parental involvement and each plays a
different role in childrens education and development. The types of parental involvement are
explained in Topic 5 of your course module.
For this assignment, students are required to do a field study (mini review) about parental
involvement in the childcare center or the kindergarten. Interview at least THREE parents to
determine the types of their involvement in the childcare/kindergarden. You also have to
interview at least ONE teacher or care provider to know the barriers and difficulties in
establishing relationships with parents.
Do make sure that you have the permission of the school/kindergarten authorities to have
access to the teacher and parents as a sample. Refer to the guidelines provided in the rubrics
given below on the expected assignment content and also the basis for which marks are to be
awarded for the report. Report must relate with the theory and article or journals based on the
topics.

SOALAN TUGASAN
Penglibatan ibu bapa merujuk kepada penyertaan ibu bapa dalam semua bidang pendidikan
dan perkembangan anak-anak mereka selaras dengan kenyataan yang mengatakan bahawa
ibu bapa merupakan pengaruh utama dalam kehidupan anak-anak mereka. Terdapat pelbagai
jenis penglibatan ibu bapa dan setiap daripadanya memainkan peranan yang berbeza dalam
perkembangan dan pendidikan kanak-kanak. Jenis-jenis penglibatan ibu bapa ini telah
dijelaskan di dalam topik 5 dalam modul kursus anda.
Untuk tugasan ini, pelajar dikehendaki melakukan kajian lapangan (mini kajian) tentang
penglibatan ibu bapa di TASKA/ TADIKA. Temubual sekurang-kurangnya TIGA orang ibu
bapa untuk menentukan jenis penglibatan mereka di TASKA/TADIKA. Anda juga perlu
menemubual sekurang-kurangnya SEORANG guru atau pengasuh bagi mengetahui halangan
dan cabaran dalam mewujudkan prhubungan dengan ibu bapa.
Pastikan segala urusan temubual mendapat kebenaran pihak TASKA/TADIKA. Sila rujuk
rubrik tugasan yang telah diberikan di bawah bagi menghasilkan laporan yang lengkap.
Laporan tersebut perlulah dikaitkan dengan teori serta artikel atau jurnal yang berkaitan
dengan topik kajian.
