ResearchOfficertocarryoutpolicyrelevantquantitativeanalysis.Thispostis
basedintheUnderstandingSocietyPolicyUnit,whichhasdevelopedaneffective
workingrelationshipwitharangeofgovernmentdepartmentsandthirdsector
agenciestopromotethevalueofthedataforpolicyresearch.

UnderstandingSocietyoffersunprecedentedopportunitiesforinvestigatingthe
implicationsofmacrosocial,economicandpolicychangesonthepopulationsof
thefourcountriesoftheUKanddifferentsubgroupswithinit.Thisexcitingpost
providesanopportunityforatalentedandambitiousquantitativesocialscience
researchertoundertakeresearchrelevanttothepressingpolicyissuesoftoday.
ThePolicyUnitworkswithgovernmentdepartmentsandotherpolicyusers
wishingtoaccesspolicyrelevantinformationfromUnderstandingSociety.In

thestudy.TheworkofthePolicyUnitalsoensuresthestudyisnationallyand
