Computer Use Policy


Student Contract
1. Each student has his own account and password.
2. Screens must be set at full-brightness and visible to teachers and staff at all times.
3. Students are only allowed to go on school-approved sites, no email. Also, students are
only allowed on websites pertaining directly to the completion of school credit.
4. Students are not allowed to retrieve printed documents, only teachers and staff may do
so.
5. Students must have teacher permission to print.
6. At least one staff member must be in the room while a student is on a laptop. If the staff
has to leave the room, the laptop must be closed until the staff member returns.
7. No music. Headsets may be used only for DVDs and Gradpoint.
8. Students are forbidden to work on computer-based assignments for another teacher
during class time.
9. Students are forbidden to share passwords or write them down.
10. Students will store laptops in the proper order to be locked for the night.
11. Any student who is caught on an unapproved site will lose all computer privileges for the
duration of his time here. One strike, youre out. One consequence would be losing
eligibility to play in the intra-facility competition tournaments.
12. Any student with computer privileges is allowed to work on appropriate assignments
during computer time. If a student does not have a specific, approved assignment to
work on, he will not be on the computer.
13. Internet history will be checked every day by staff or a teacher.
14. No treatment work on laptops.
