GUEST ARTIST WILFRED PALOMA IN AN ORIGINAL CABARET
An Education Fundraising Event
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2016 AT CORONADO PLAYHOUSE
CORONADO, CA Coronado Playhouse is thrilled to support guest artist Wilfred Paloma in
Never Say Never, an original cabaret at Coronado Playhouse on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 7
pm. A seasoned performer and well-known to Coronado Playhouse audiences, Wilfred Paloma
was last seen on the Playhouse stage as a Wikersham Brother in Seussical The Musical. Last
season, he appeared in A Year with Frog and Toad in an award-winning performance as Snail.
Other credits at Coronado Playhouse include Carnival!, Chicago and Mistletoe, Music & Mayhem.
As a Theatre Performance major at San Diego State University (SDSU), Mr. Paloma is
required to fulfill an international theatre experience component in order to meet his scheduled
2017 graduation. Travel abroad is included in SDSU curriculum as an enrichment challenge to
students in order to provide a well-rounded, global perspective in their careers. To defray a portion
of the significant travel costs, Coronado Playhouse will host Mr. Paloma alongside some of San
Diego's most talented performers in a one-night only fundraising cabaret, titled Never Say Never
on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Mr. Paloma has assembled a wonderful cast led by musical director Thomas
Hodges (musician, lyricist; SDSU alumnus), Elizabeth Jimenez (Playwrights Project; SDSU
alumnus), Yvonne Brown (North Coast Rep, Moonlight, Candlelight; SDSU Alumnus), Meredith
Russo (CPH, OnStage Playhouse, Pickwick Players) and Danielle Gulihur (Breakthrough
Workshop Theatre, Lamplighters Community Theatre, YAT).

Fundraising for Education

Coronado Playhouse, The Community's Theatre, is proud to support Wilfred Paloma, one of our
own and a talented triple-threat performer with a resume that includes performances with
Steppenwolf West, OnStage Playhouse, Ocean Beach Playhouse, Saville Theatre, Southwestern
College and the University of California-San Diego. All proceeds raised from this star-packed
cabaret event will go toward the $10,000 cost associated with Mr. Palomas course studies,
including a semester and summer of travel to Italy and Scotland, accommodation, airfare, domestic
travel, museum/tour tickets, insurance, and tuition.
