Fixed Vertical Access Ladders

With the advent of the new Work at Height
regulations whenever a roof or raised area has to be
accessed, this access must be undertaken in a safe
and planned manner. Whatever your access needs or
problems, a bespoke vertical ladder can be designed
to give you safe and secure access to any raised
elevation while FULLY complying with all Work at
Height Directives.
Designed and manufactured to meet the most recent
British Standards (BS 4211:2005) all vertical ladders
can be constructed with either a safety cage or, where
a hoop arrangement is not suitable, a fall arrest
system can be fitted. Either option satisfies all Work at
Height Directives and can be modified to suit any
situation.
Security is a major concern for
all sites and installations and
we are pleased to offer options to
ensure there is no unauthorised
access to roof levels. These
options can include a solid
security panel fitted directly to the base of the ladder, with a padlock facility or
a removable lower ladder section.
All ladders are constructed, as standard, from
mill finish aluminium, and comply fully with
BS4211 and all materials are Class 1
classification.

Ladder materials and finishes can

be altered to suit almost any
specification with options available
in steel, powder coated
aluminium and glass fibre for
complete corrosion resistance and no
electrical conductivity.

The Clow Group is the largest privately owned manufacturer of ladders and
access equipment in the UK. Together with the standard range of Clow access
equipment products the Clow Group also specialise in the design, production and
installation of bespoke fabrications in aluminium, steel and stainless steel.
Projects have included the manufacture, installation and commissioning of new
powered maintenance gantries for the Forth Road Bridge, the design, fabrication
and installation of complete roof access systems at railway stations including,
Glasgow Central, Leeds Train Station and York Station.
The Clow Group also carry out access equipment inspections and repairs together
with the provision of specialist training courses.
