Michigan Mountains

1. Talk with your group how you want to design your poster.

*Each partner finds at least 1 picture on-line.
2. Write the title on your poster. (Michigan Mountains)
3. Look up dictionary.com
Type in the word mountain. Write the definition on your poster.
4. Find 3 to 4 pictures of mountains in Michigan.
Look for pictures of these mountains.
(Ask your teacher to print the pictures.)
Write at least 1 sentence about each picture.

5. Draw a scene of a mountain range in Michigan with colored pencils or crayons.
6. Search each of the four Michigan mountains in Google Maps and locate where
they are in Michigan (you might need to zoom out a little to see it on the map.)
On the poster, make a box that describes the location of each of the four mountains.
Use cardinal directions - North, East, South, West. Use relative location words such
as near, by, and close to.
6. All group members must write their first and last names on the poster.
