14. The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada is

accepting resumes for a full-time position as Health

6. Early Teens Bible Study for youth ages

11-14 takes place Tuesdays at 7
pm. Please contact Anna or George for
location. Teens are using Amazing Facts
curriculum Most Important Questions.

as we study Acts 19 together, and well
learn what it means to shake the status quo
for Christ!

15. ACES will be publishing their first yearbook for 20162017. Different options will be available for church
members to be part of it. You could advertise your
business or include a message of congratulations for
graduates or give a sponsorship. Cost for advertisement
-1/4th of a page $30, 1/2 page $60 and 1-page $100.

16. Family Movie Night: The church family and friends
are invited to a movie night put on by the Friends of
Jesus Adventurer club. Come out and enjoy the
evening with us today from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Refreshments are provided but please feel free to
bring along finger foods and/or beverages for all to
share. Monetary donations are also welcomed. All
such donations will go towards holiday gifts for our
adventurers.

17. Christmas Play and Bazaar- ACES Christmas

program and bazaar will be held on Saturday
evening, December 3rd. If you would like to
participate in our bazaar selling your products please
let us know ASAP. Each table costs $40 and must be
paid in full before the event. Please contact vendor

February 3-4, 2017 - Featuring inspirational worship
services and over 20 different workshops to help enhance
current local church ministry leaders. Early registration rate

The Shield of Faith!

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph. 6:16
Faith in God's Word, prayerfully studied and practically
applied, will be our shield from Satan's power and will bring
us off conquerors through the blood of Christ.
When souls are converted their salvation is not yet
accomplished. They then have the race to run; the arduous
struggle is before them to do, what? "To fight the good fight
of faith," to press forward to the mark for the prize of the
high calling which is in Christ Jesus. There is no release in
this warfare; the battle is lifelong, and must be carried
forward with determined energy proportionate to the value of
the object you are in pursuit of, which is eternal life.
Immense interests are here involved. We are made
partakers of Christ's self-sacrifice here in this life, and then
we are assured that we shall be partakers of all its benefits
in the future immortal life, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence steadfast unto the end. Think of this.
The promise is, "God is faithful, who will not suffer you to
be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape." Maintain to the last
your Christian integrity, and do not murmur against God. . . .
Consider that eternal interests are here involved. You
cannot afford to become discouraged and cast away your
confidence. The Lord loves you, trust in the Lord. The Lord
Jesus is your only hope. Make sure work for eternity. You
must not murmur or complain or condemn yourself. Neglect
no means of grace. Encourage your soul to believe and to
trust in God.
In the Lord we have righteousness and strength. Lean
upon Him, and through His power you may quench all the
fiery darts of the adversary and come off more than
conqueror.
