Drop: Get on the ground quickly and cover face with your hands.
Roll: Try to smother the flames by rolling over and over. Dont roll into thin blanket, sheet
or plastic because you may accidentally catch that material on fire also. Others can also help
you extinguish the flames by patting the fire with a fire blanket or use water to put out the
fire if available.
As soon as the fire is out, report to the clinic where you would be treated for burns.
The assistant fire chief said anyone who buys bulk and transfers chemicals into
smaller containers should take precautions to ensure the small containers are clean
and properly labeled.
Several factors could have been at play in this incident and the following will
prevent this type of incident from happening to you:
spray bottles and dispensers, are marked with the chemical contents with a clear
and legible label.

Today, check around your work area and ensure all your chemical bottles are
marked and that you know the hazards associated with each. If you have questions
