The two frogs


One night two frogs found themselves in a diary. Hopping and
jumping around as frogs do. They both jumped into a milk pail half full of
milk.
Pada suatu malam ada dua katak terdampar di sebuah pabrik susu.

After swimming around for some time they tried to get out. But the
inside of the pail was too slippery and there was nothing on which they
could rest so that they could jump out. One frog thought it was useless
trying to swim on and just gave up hope and sunk and was drowned.
Setelah berenang-renang beberapa saat mereka mencoba keluar,
namun ember terlalu licin dan tidak ada pijakan untuk keluar. Salah satu
katak berfikir sia-sia kalau hanya berenang-renang and hanya pasrah
tenggelam.
The other carried on swimming hoping against hope that something
would turn up. He swam and swam until it began to feel tired. But this
time the milk which was full of cream had become thick. When the frog
had swum some more the cream had been stirred so much that it became
a solid lump of butter.
Katak yang satunya lagi bersikeras tetap berenang berharap akan
ada keajaiban. Dia tetap berenang dan berenang sampai merasa lelah.

Akhirnya susu yang penuh dengan krim menjadi padat. Saat katak itu
berenang beberapa krim telah teraduk sehingga akhirnya menjadi seperti
gumpalan mentega yang keras.

jump out of the pail into safety.
Dengan demikian akhirnya katak dapat berusaha keluar dan
istirahat. Dan pada akhirnya dia dapat keluar dari ember dengan selamat.

The legend of Banyuwangi


Once upon a time, there was a local ruler named King Sulahkromo.
The king had a prime minister named Raden Sidopekso. The prime
Minister had a wife named Sri tanjung. She was so beautiful that the king
wanted her to be his wife.
Zaman dahulu kala, hiduplah seorang penguasa bernama Raja
Sulahkromo. Raja itu memiliki seorang perdana menteri yang bernama
Raden Sidopekso. Perdana menteri memiliki seorang istri yang bernama
Sri Tanjung. Dia sangat cantik sehingga raja ingin dia menjadi istrinya.
One day, the King sent his prime minister to a long mission. While
the prime minister was away, the king tried to get Sri Tanjung. However
he failed. He was very angry. Thus, when Sidopekso went back, the king
told him that his wife was unfaithful to him. The prime minister was very
angry with his wife. Sri Tanjung said that it was not true. However,
Sidopekso said that he would kill her. He brought her to the river bank.
Before he kill her and threw her into the river, she said her innocence
would be proven.
Suatu hari, Raja mengirim perdana menterinya untuk menjalankan
misi yang lama. Saat perdana menteri keluar jauh, raja mencoba
mendapatkan Sri Tanjung. Akan tetapi dia gagal. Dia sangat marah.
kemudian ketika Sidopekso kembali, raja menceritakan kepadanya jika
istrinya tidak setia(berkhianat) padanya. Perdana menteri itu sangat

marah kepada istrinya. Sri Tanjung bilang kepada suaminya bahwa itu itu
tidak benar. Akan tetapi Sidopekso berkata bahwa di akan membunuh
istrinya. Dia membawanya ke tepi sungai. Sebelum dia membunuhnya
dan membuangnya ke sungai, dia bilang kalau kebenaran akan terbukti.

wonderful fragrance. Sidopekso said, Banyu Wangi Banyuwangi. This
means fragrant water Banyuwangi was born from the proof of noble and

1. Aim/goal: Mengemukakan atau memperkenalkan sesuatu yang akan
dibuat atau dikerjakan. Biasanya muncul sebagai teks judul.
2. Materials: Menjelaskan bahan-bahan atau material yang dibutuhkan.
Bagian ini bukan merupakan keharusan.
3. Steps: mencantumkan langkah-langkah dalam membuat atau melakukan
sesuatu.
Ciri-ciri kebahasaan
1. Menggunakan simple present tense(dalam kalimat perintah/imperative)
2. Menggunakan kata hubung temporal ( First, then, next, finally) atau
penomoran untuk menunjukkan urutan.
3. Menggunakan proses material (material process)

Teks Report adalah teks yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu

Jellyfish
Jellyfish are not really fish. They are invertebrate animals. This means
that unlike fish or people, they have no backbones. In fact, they have no
bones at all.
Jellyfish have stomachs and mouths, but no heads. They have nervous
system for sensing the world around them, but no brains. They are made
almost entirely of water, which is why you can look through them.
Some Jellyfish can glow in darkness by making their own light. The
light is made by chemical reaction inside the Jellyfish. Scientis believe
Jellyfish glow for several reasons. For example, they may glow to scare
away predators or to attrack animals they like to eat.
Most Jellyfish live in salt water, apart from a few types that live in fresh
water. Jellyfish are found in oceans and seas all over the world. They live
in warm, tropical seas and in icy waters near the North and South poles.

Orientation: Berisi tentang tokoh, tempat, waktu peristiwa yang terjadi.
Events: Berisi tentang rangkaian/kronologis peristiwa dan pengalaman

Reorientation: Berisi penutup, rangkuman
mengenai peristiwa yang diceritakan.

enjoy staying in the hotel and playing on the beach while he was having

in the hotel, my father talked to the receptionist to get a room. The clerk
at the receptionist desk gave my father the key of my room and porter
carried our bag along the corridor to our room.
We got a big room on the third floor. The room over looked the sea.
From our room we could see waves breaking over the rocks. The beach
was not crowded at that time. We saw children digging in the sand looking
for the sea-shells. Some boys were kicking a ball. Some groups of people

were sitting in the desk chairs, lying on the sand under brightly colored
umbrella.
We didnt waste much time in our room. We went to the beach to
swim to play ball, to dig in sand to look for sea-shell, and to lie under the
sun. we really enjoyed the activity.

Teks deskriptif tentang Borobudur


Struktur Teks Descriptif (generic structure)

1. Identification
Berisi tentang identifikasi sesuatu yang akan menjadi objek(Orang,
tempat, hewan, benda tertentu) yang dideskripsikan/dijelaskan
2. Description
Berisi penjelasan/deskripsi rinci mengenai objek yang dijelaskan meliputi:
bagian, kualitas, dan karakteristik/cirri-cirinya.

Borobudur
Identification
Borobudur is a Hindu-Buddhist temple. It was built during the ninth
century by the syailendra Dynasty of ancient Mataram Kingdom.
Borobudur is located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia.
Description
It is well-known all over the world for its construction, influenced by the
Gupta architecture of India. The temple is constructed on a hill 46 m high
and consist of eight level terraces. The first five terraces are squared and
surrounded by walls adorned with Buddhist sculpture and reliefs. The
upper three are circular. Each of them circled by bell called Stupa.
Description
The distance from the base to the top extends through some 4.8 km of
passages and stairways. The design of Borobudur which symbolizes the
structure of the universe, is similar to temple in Angkor.
