At Jonsson Workwear we have challenged the status quo of

founded our success in the African workwear industry. The
Jonsson royal blue polycotton blended Work Jacket and Trousers
have been the cornerstone work garment of the labour force
of South Africa for many years, providing the hard-working men
and women of South Africa the tools to carry out their job with
pride and confidence.
We have, however, come a long way since our first conti suit.
Our curiosity and need to challenge the market has resulted in
a revolution of this range since our entry into the workwear
market. The Work Jacket and Trousers range has evolved to
provide a wide range of colours, functions and fabrics to suit

ULTIMATE RAIN
PROTECTION
We recognise that in many industries, working conditions are tough as
they are subject to natural elements. This is why we have developed
a holistic rainwear range aimed at keeping workers as dry as possible
in wet conditions allowing them the freedom to continue with their
duties during unfavourable conditions, without any delays.
Our rainwear garments are manufactured from water resistant PVC
fabric which is light and supple, yet sturdy. A stow away hood allows
for garment flexibility, whilst the back and underarm vents enable
breathability.
Features such as concealed elasticised storm cuffs and elasticised
waists ensure that workers are kept dry in wet weather conditions in
workwear that is light and comfortable, yet protective.
A defining element of our range is our High Visibility Rain Suit. Made
from fluorescent fabric and reflective tape, workers are protected
as they are made more visible to workmates and motorists during
unfavourable working conditions.
Our rainwear range will ensure that, no matter what the season,
workers are not restricted by weather conditions and can continue
with business as usual.

thermal protection in environments that experience momentary
electric arcs, flash fires or molten metal splash exposures.

Our Flame Retardant Workwear will self-extinguish once the source

of ignition has been removed, ensuring little, if any, burn damage as
opposed to other fabrics which continue to melt and burn.

The South African Bureau of Standards is a statutory body that acts as the
national institution for the promotion and maintenance of standardisation
and quality, in connection with commodities and the rendering of services.
Jonsson SABS approved garments are all made from SABS approved
fabrics, for example, J54 and CS59, and meet the specifications required by
the SABS with regards to the spec and cut of the garments. The factories
in which the Jonsson Workwear garments are made all comply with the
SANS 434: 2011 specification to make SABS boilersuits and workwear
that are approved to bear the SABS mark.

Foot hygiene is of particular importance when wearing gumboots. This
is because sweat cannot be absorbed by PVC and when heat and sweat
combine, germs and bacteria form rapidly.
Routine Care:
THE INTERIOR
The polyester inner sock lining of the Jonsson Workwear Gumboot allows
for easy cleaning and quick drying. A mild disinfectant can be used in the
interior of the gumboot, but it must be rinsed thoroughly and left to dry.
The innersole may be taken out, and once loose dirt is removed, it can be
washed with mild soap and water and left out to dry.

THE EXTERIOR
The outside of the gumboot can be washed with mild soap and water.
Chemicals and solvents should never be used, as these will cause the
gumboot to become brittle and crack.

To remove soil build up in the tread pattern of the sole, use mild soap,
water and a scrubbing brush.
