Risk Assess

Other

It is IMPORTANT to keep production updated of any changes to your schedule and

of any unplanned activities that may have a greater risk such as an unplanned filming on a boat, flying, filming near water, or in tight confines etc.

Hazards Identified and

Risks Arising
List below all the hazards identified
earlier in the assessment. Identify all
those who may be affected by the
risks. Ignore trivial risks.

Risk Assessment & Proposed Precautions

List the proposed controls for each hazard and group of
people affected. Include information from contractors
assessments to reduce the harm.

Manual handling / moving equipment - potential risk of injury due to heavy lifting and
wrong lifting procedure.

Crew must be aware of the the correct lifting procedures and

must not over exert themselves. Where possible a trolley and
lift will be used to move kit around the location and the team
will always share the load.

Production crew / public injured through

slips / trips / falls

Care to be taken whilst using camera equipment, sensible

footwear to be worn.

Access / egress - The production crew will

be unfamiliar with the layout of the building
or the fire exits. This could lead to problems
with emergency evacuations.

In the event of an emergency crew will leave the premises

immediately and safely. Crew to identify escape routes on
arrival at the stadium and in the case of an emergency to follow any instructions given by stadium staff.

Electricity / location lighting - potential

risk of injury due to electrocution, trip
hazard due to cables or burns due to hot
lights.

An electrically competent person to be responsible for all electrical equipment used and all connections made. Only safety
tested electrical equipment which is suitable for the conditions
to be used.

Crew / public injured through walking into

obstructions/camera kit or being forced to
walk in dangerous areas because of
blocked safe routes.

The team is small and will make every effort not to cause disruption to fire exits and public when filming outside or in public
locations. Production equipment will not cause any obstructions in walkways/traffic routes etc.

Crowds and public disorder - filming before

and possibly during a football match. There
may be risk from disorderly crowds.

If there are signs of public disorder crew will stop filming / put
own safety ahead of filming.

TO BE SIGNED BY THOSE WITH SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

I/we have read the above and are satisfied that it constitutes a fair assessment of
the risks expected within Production. The controls identified are adequate to control the risk.
JOB TITLE
Director -In ultimate con-

trol of all Production Activities, duties may of

course be delegated.
