Enhancements in ProStructures (ProSteel and ProConcrete):

PowerProStructures
The first pass at generating a Power Platform for ProStructures has been developed. With the
PowerProStructures, the need for MicroStation or AutoCAD as a base platform will no longer be
required and the program will become a self-sustained system.
Layered platforms will still continue to exist for the time being and there is no long term plan to
drop the AutoCAD based layered product.
The PowerProStructures version has a form of the MicroStation Engine built in and so the
environment for this and the MicroStation layered product should be fairly similar.
The release date for PowerProStructures will be shortly after the release of the layered products.

Template Driven Solids:

A tool to easily and effectively create complex non parametric 3D Solid forms based on user defined
profile templates along with constrains and routing and alignment conditions. This tool is mainly for
ProConcrete users, but it can be used for other projects as well.

Support of "Fence Stretch" in MicroStation version
ProStructures Snaps:
In addition to the "standard" MicroStation snap points additional points are available.
It is even possible to switch between the snap points by using the arrow keys.
ProStructures Tooltips:
The tooltip content is controlled by an external file ...\\prg\tooltip.ini

In the 2D Detail center, right clicking on one of the existing drawings and going to Additional
Functions will allow you to do a drawing verification of the selected 2D drawing.
It will either return a No Errors Detected message or it will open a dialog window that lists the
issues with
the drawing in question so that the user can fix them.

Product.CFG (MicroStation only):

Located in the <ProStructures Install Dir>\Prg\Config\appl folder this file is now being used in
MicroStation in place of the previously used pro_st3d.cfg that was located in the config folder. This new
configuration file allows for variables to be used and handles the Microstation variables such as
workspaces and seed files better than the standard cfg did.

This is just a few of the customized lines generated to help enable control of ProStructures in a
MicroStation environment.

Now we can include environmental variables to the cfg in AutoCAD and MicroStation
ProStructures configuration can be controlled by system variables
Working with ProStructures configuration is similar to the MicroStation configuration
If config/pro_st3d.cfg exists then it is used for configuring ProStructures (Compatibility),
otherwise config/appl/product.cfg is used
Setting environment variables:
Open Control Panel
Select "System"
Run "Advanced System Settings"
Select "Environment Variables"
Click "New..." to add a new variable

Setting MicroStation variables:
Ps3d_ustn.cfg is generated by the installation.

It sets ProStructures main path and its workspace path through variables
MS_PROSTEEL3D and PS_WORKSPACE.

New config variable to toggle ProjectWise support

If a user is working in a ProjectWise environment and DON'T want ProStructures to call ProjectWise, it
is possible to disable the call by inserting the following line in the product.cfg file:
PW_DISABLE_INTEGRATION=1
If the value is "1", ProjectWise is disabled in ProStructures, if the value is something else, ProjectWise is
enabled

ProSteel
New Anchors and Dowels:
In ProSteel we have added hook anchors, bent and plate anchors, head bolts and dowels and
studs.
These objects are parametric and can be inserted manually at a specific point or automatically at
existing drill holes.
New Standard Stair

Besidesgeneral stair parameters the new "Standard Stair" provides additional options for stair runs
cases, geometry calculation methods, landing types, stringer cuts, constrains / rules verification.

New Handrail Command:

Besides general Handrail parameters the new Standard Handrail provides additional options for
geometry, individual post distribution, connections, grab bar It is based on existing shapes, not on 3D
polylines / smartlines.

Retain manual Modifications:

Most of the existing ProSteel connections will retain manual modifications like Poly Cuts if the
connection will be modified.
Slotted Holes inSteel Connections:

SlottedHoles are now possible in several ProSteel Connections, including the rotation angle.
