SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY

My name is Nurfarhana binti Hussin. I am twenty-one years old and I am a

student at University Technology of Mara Shah Alam and completing bachelors
degree in Civil Engineering for two and a half years starting from now. My dream is
to be a good and successful engineer that can provide many benefits to community.
However, I am certain that if I do not complete my college degree I could never have
the opportunity to achieve my career goals.
The value of education is something that I have understood since a very young
age. Neither of my parents had an opportunity to attend college, and faced many
struggles in their personal and professional lives because of this. They made a
commitment early in my life to do everything within their power to instill in me a love
of learning and an understanding of the importance of hard work and dedication. As a
first child in a family, I am really determined to make both of my parents feel proud to
see me success in my study and carrier.
For your information, i am just an ordinary girl during my school year.
Everything is an average for me back then. But I have these two superiorities in
myself which is determination and curiosity. Both of them manage to make me
become a girl who likes to try new thing and enjoy when doing it. I have joined some
programs and club during my school and also my university year. I have join
Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia for three years. This have made me become an
organize person because you need to have a good time management to be in this club
and study in the same time. I also have become a mentor in Buddy System program
for my course and volunteer for helping flood victim during my diploma in UiTM. It
would bring joy for me to help people who needed and I have faith that active in
curricular activities wont affecting your study quality.
I really need Mudajaya Group Berhad scholarship because I believe that this
scholarship will provide an ease for me to go through my study period. A stable
finance is a blessing for a student to stay focus and calm when facing a quite

challenging study life. Instead of that, Mudajaya Group Berhad scholarship also bind
student that have been awarded to work with the company after finishing their study.
This is a really good opportunity for fresh graduate to continue learning and gain as
much experience and knowledge about their related carrier as they can. As a fresh
graduated student to be, I believe that learning is a life time process and skills is
obtained by involve in field experience. Mudajaya Group Berhad scholarship is the
best opportunity for me to gain all that have been stated.
I am grateful to find opportunities like the one that your foundation is
providing to students like me who are constantly fighting for the right to receive an
education. I remain determine and will keep working hard until I reach my career
goals. I am hopeful to become one of your foundations scholarship recipients, so that
I can continue on my pathway to achieve my dream.
