While it was long been clear hat chemical compounds found in the marijuana plant
offer potential for medical use, smoking raw plant is a method of delivery supported
neither by law nor recent scientific evidence. The Food and Drug Administrations
approval process, which seeks to ensure the purity of chemical compounds in
legitimate drugs, sets the standard for medical validation of prescription drugs as
safe and effective. The House Bill No. 4477 (Compassionate Use of Medical
Cannabis Act) proposed, states that marijuana use has medical properties for
certain persons suffering from such diseases as cachexia or wasting syndrome, etc.
In medical language, this is the general physical wasting with loss weight and
muscle mass due to a disease.(Philippine Star, Oct. 28, 2013, Vol: 28 No:93 P.A-24)
About the issue many agreed even doctors, but science does not support smoking
the plant in the crude from as an appropriate delivery system. An exploration of two
comprehensive inquiries into the medical potential medical benefit of chemical
compound such as THC, found in marijuana. Ambitious research is necessary to
understand fully how these substances affect the human body. Expert who have
dealt with all available data do not recommend that the goal of research should be
smoked marijuana for medical conditions. Rather they support development of a
smoke free, rapid-onset delivery system for compounds found in the plants. Towns
in our country turns marijuana fields into food bowls and in south cotabato they
plant marijuana for livelihood. In California, marijuana was legal. Driving after
smoking marijuana is less dangerous than drinking alcohol. Even those who
advocate who smoking marijuana are occasionally driven to caution still people in
our country uses marijuana in wrong way and this is one of the main problems of
our country, now this was the big question, should the Philippine legalize the use of
marijuana? If it will be legalized, what are the possible effects of this for the person
taking it in wrong way? What should the government do to stop the illegal use of
marijuana? China is no. 1 source of drugs. No to marijuana legalization whether for
medical or recreational use, a death scientific support . no for the legalization
because it is illegal and harmful.
