Hyperion System 9 FDM

Follow the steps below to resolve DCOM issues for a local

computer (or Citrix) to run the FDM Workbench Client.
Please run the following steps below on the server where the Load
Balancer is installed. This is typically the FDM Application server.
1. Click on Start -> Run -> dcomcnfg to bring up the box below:

2. Expand Component
Services -> Computers
3. Right click on My Computer

4. Select the COM Security tab and ensure that the userID(<domain
name>\<userID>) has access on Edit Limits/Defaults for Access
Permissions and Launch/Activation Permissions.

5. After setting permissions click OK to go back to the main Component

Services window and expand My Computer -> DCOM Config

6. Find the process labeled
{E652643D-6CC1-48AC-915D-01842BD4F292}

7. Right click the above process and choose Properties and choose
Security.
8a. If Customized is selected then please run the above step 4 again.
8b. If Defaults is selected, then no further editing is necessary.
9. Press OK on all menus and then close out of Component Security
10. Try the WorkBench again.
