Acquire Substantive Knowledge

This assignment helped me learn a lot about how science is used to determine the
actions of other organisms using a series of tests. I have a better understanding of how
multiple applications of scientific hypothesis and testing can lead to a completely
different result than you would have been expecting. Also I learned that these tests take
time and patience as well as effort. They also take trial and error methods because of the
many different possibilities that these tests may have.
Think Critically
This assignment also helped me think critically about the concept of the different
types of experiments that scientists must utilize to prove or counteract their hypothesis. I
also learned that a hypothesis is somewhat of a goal that scientists aim for at the
beginning of their experiments because without a goal they would not have anything to
work with. Also the ability to perform multiple experiments on a certain organism can
give a lot of insight on how the organism lives and interacts with its environment
depending on the type of experiments you perform.
