students will have 2 mins to read over their worksheets from the last lessons
write and wipe activity.
Read out the definitions of the vocab worksheet students need to work out with word it is.
Who is at the top of the social structure? Pharaoh
Who is at the bottom of the social structure? Farmers
Ancient Egyptians didnt use money, what did they do instead? Barter
What is the name of the symbols Ancient Egyptians used to write? Hieroglyphs

Introduction to the lesson- students will be bartering to get the hieroglyphs they need to complete one
of three sentences. Students will be given a different amount of hieroglyphs depending on where they
fall on the social structure. Random selection.

Student will have 3 mins to go through their own hieroglyphs to see what one they have and what
ones they will need to barter for.

Students can either barter with their hieroglyphs or by using their knowledge of Ancient Egypt
Students will complete activity
