BEACH HOUSE
The Beach House is a retreat located
in Jaco, Costa Rica. The structure is
a vacation home for an artist who has
requested a getaway space. There
is a small gallery space on the upper level for the artist to display their
work. These pages show a model
of the building, oor plans, site plan
studies and a site plan photo that
was taken by at the
location.

JAVA JUNKIE CAFE

Java Junkie is a coffee shop that is intended to be a loft-like retreat for art and coffee lovers. The cafe is intended to be located in the heart of the Ottawa Byward Market. Rustic architectural elements and gallery-style
partition walls for art display are the fundamental features of this space.

HEALTH CARE
UNIT
The intent of this design
project is to incorporate
the peaceful features of
nature into the health care
unit. The tranquil nature
inspired qualities are
meant to soothe the patients during their stay at
this paediatric unit.

OIL PAINTING
Painting is an adored pastime of mine. Several of my paintings have been
displayed in cafes throughout the city of Ottawa. These are a few examples
of my work.

DIGITAL PERSPECTIVES
The following, are images of computer
rendered perspectives. These images were
used to further interpret several of my design projects. On the left page is a perspective of a loft. 3DSMax computer technology
was used to create this image. On the right
page are interior and exterior perspectives
of a restaurant. The combination of SketchUp and Photoshop were used to create
these images.

LADKA CHAIR
Ladka is a chair designed for a travelling young boy of
Indian origin. Below, is a prototype of the chair and on
right, are preliminary sketches of the design. The shape,
fabric and colours of the chair were inspired by the boy
himself as well as the bag in which he stored his belongings. The cushions of the chair can be lifted so that he
may store his possessions and memories underneath.
The base of the chair is left clear so that he may see his
precious objects that remind him of home.

CHAIR DESIGN

CELESTE LIGHT FIXTURE

Celeste is a light xture fabricated
out two stainless steel bowls that have been welded
together. The light xture is built to imitate
an object positioned in the sky, or outer space as
observed in astronomy.
