Abstract
In this paper I will reflect on my choices of the artifacts included under Domain E in my
e-portfolio. Including specific artifacts allows me to display my strengths along with some of my
weaknesses as an educator.

Artifact 1
The first artifact for Domain E is the schedule for the third grade class I student taught in.
My master teacher and I developed this schedule to break down instructional time so that the
learning time is most beneficial to students. Certain portions of the day were scheduled for us
and therefore we had to work around these areas. The district I student taught in had mandated
physical education time two times a week for thirty minutes. The school I student taught in had
mandated times for intervention lab, music, and library. Each morning started with thirty minutes
for intervention lab daily. The intervention lab allowed students who were some of the lowest
class assistance on technology and apps supplied by the schools foundation. Our school had a
music teacher and we had thirty minutes a week allocated to music. We also had a librarian
which we visited weekly for thirty minutes. I chose to include the weekly schedule as it displays
my ability to create a schedule that is set yet has the ability to be flexible. I believe that this is
something I need more practice with as I had never created a class schedule and this was the only
one I had ever created. Including this schedule will allow me to reflect when I create my own
schedule and decide if it seems justified or if areas should be altered.
Artifact 2
The second artifact I included for Domain E is my classroom management notebook from
my classroom management class. TPE 11: Social Environment explains that educators should be
able to create and implement classroom management that is transparent to the students. Including
my classroom management notebook allows me to reflect on ideas I had such as consequences,
documentation, rules, and so much more. Allowing myself to reflect on ideas that I saw as
beneficial can justify whether I was on the right track or not. I still have my classroom

management notebook in word format which could allow me to go back and adjust my thoughts
as I come into having my own classroom.
Artifact 3
For my final artifact for Domain E, I chose to write a literature review on the second
chapter from the book The Key Elements of Classroom Management by Joyce McLeod, Jan
Fisher, and Ginny Hoover. The second chapter of the book is called Managing Instructional
Time. I found this chapter very significant as it includes many different ideas of managing time
in and out of the classroom to maximize instructional time and learning time for students. As a
new teacher I found this chapter of the book extremely beneficial as it can be extremely difficult
to juggle a school day. When I get my own classroom I will review my literature review and
reflect back on the chapter as I set up my own classroom schedule.
