Training Workshop on New Approaches to Resettlement

The Council for Social Development (CSD), New Delhi is pleased to announce its next annual training workshop. Its
focus this year will be on New Approaches to Resettlement. It will take place in CSD New Delhi from 29 November to
1 December 2016.
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize participants with newer, more effective ways of managing the emerging
resettlement challenges. It has been designed keeping in view the changing training needs of resettlement practitioners.
The workshop will be suitable for senior/middle level government officials, industry managers, NGOs, academics, and
also those working in international development agencies and personnel working on projects financed by them.
The charges per participant for the workshop are Rs 5,000. For students and NGOs representative, the charges are only
Rs 2,500. This includes course material, lunch, mid-morning and afternoon tea/coffee. For international participants,
the charges are Rs 30,000 (inclusive of accommodation and meals for three nights)

A scientific inquiry into the economic challenges and


opportunities unique to the South Asian region constitutes
the basic raison d'tre of the proposed conference to be
held during February 23-24, 2017 in New Delhi. Through
this conference, we strive to provide a platform for
research containing methodological advances, both in
economic theory and empirical methods, which would
contribute to our understanding of South Asian Economic
Development.
Submissions are invited from all areas of economics
relevant to South Asia. Submission is open to all, though
we particularly encourage researchers working or studying
in organizations based in SAARC member countries
(namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives,
Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka).
