Course: 4th grade A&B initial
Timetable: Mondays from 15:15 to 15:55 and Wednesdays from 16:45 to
17:25
Objectives of the lesson: during this lesson students are expected to:
Make physical descriptions
Relate descriptions and images
Put in the correct order according to the steps of a story
Imagine and draw their monster and describe it.
Routines: Greeting and Praying (2)
Activity 1 (3) as students werent able to correct the last activity of
the class on Wednesday (Activity n 3 students will be given a photocopy
with sentences to match with its correspondent image; Personal pronouns
and the verbal structure will have different colours for them to recognize
(after doing this activity) which verb correspond to which pronoun. This
recognition will be done with the help of the trainee) the trainee will use
this amount of time to correct what they have matched and to recognize
which verb goes with which pronoun.
-Opening the Lesson: Warm-Up Activity (10)
Activity n2 (10) The trainee will tell two short stories about different
toys and students will have to draw them according to the story in order

to mix parts of the face and adjectives. E.g. (Trainee: I will tell you about
our favourite toys. I have got a doll. My doll has got long hair and small
eyes. SHE has got a big mouth and short arms. He (the other trainee) has
got a teddy bear. The teddy bear has got short hair and big eyes. He has
got a small mouth and long legs etc.) At the end of the activity, trainees
will show to the students two posters with the drawings of the toys
described in the activity so as to correct their versions.
-Body of the Lesson (26)
Activity n 3(8) students are going to describe the picture of a
monster (which will be done by the trainees) using parts of the body and
parts of the face. As the poster with the monster will be on the blackboard
it will be easier to correct students descriptions orally.
Activity n4 (4) students will be given a photocopy with 4 different
physical descriptions and 4 different pictures of monsters (as the picture
on the blackboard and its description will be also used). They will have to
decide which description corresponds to each picture and match them.
Activity n 5 (7) the trainee will read a story about the 5 monsters
and the students will have to put in order the different stages that the
photocopy presents.
Activity n 6 (5) Students will play a BINGO mixing parts of the
face and adjectives (big/small/short/long-part of the face).
Closing the Lesson (2)
As usual, students will copy on their books the activities they have
done during the lesson, as date, weather and description of the activities.
