Module 1 reflection TER 2/8/16

Module 1 was a good introduction to the course. It included finding and

annotating an existing unit plan with some embedded literacy activities. It also
needed to fit the requirements of the New Zealand curriculum including Key
Competencies and achievement objectives at appropriate levels. It was good to
have a close look at a unit while referencing the curriculum and considering
literacy approaches. There were some aspects done really well and some that
could be improved so I think this will really help my classroom practice going
forwards, to make sure I am aligning with curriculum expectations and also
meeting the literacy needs of my students.
