The company isnt really a corporation at first. It started
as a sole proprietorship kind of business owned by MR.

Plaza was founded on January 18, 1992 at Alano Corner,
Jamisola Street, Santiago District Pagadian City. In the
year 2012, through the hard work, dedication, and
intelligence of the owner, the establishment turned into a
family corporation after twenty (20) years of operating as
a sole proprietorship. The name DES stands for: Du
Ek Sam derived from the wifes maiden name,
MARILOU DU. In areas of Luzon, Visayas and Cagayan,
they used the name Du Ek Sam but in Mindanao area,
the name was shortened by the daughter named LOUISE
CAMILLE LUMAPAS into DES. The corporation name

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

A. POSSIBLE QUESTIONS

market?
What is the impact of credit sales to the business?
Are number of customers increasing?
How much is the estimated net sales for the month?
Are employees satisfied for their wages?
Is the branch manager doing well for his
responsibilities?

ANSWERS:
1. The company is primarily dealing with the people; it
cannot be
avoided to receive some complaints from the
customer. Especially, we people have different
perspectives and educational attainment. The
receptionist must be patient enough to entertain
those customers and no matter how tired she is in
explaining to the customer such issue repetitively,
still the receptionist must be cheerful. It still isnt
avoidable to have products with factory defects. The
next time they want to purchase products, they need
to double check the products before accepting it and
selling to the customers. The customer should fill up
on a logbook with his complains and there is a one
month agreement for such product to be a subject
for replacement.
2. Sales agents are really not the primary means of
promoting the product but if there are willing to
apply as sales agent, they would accommodate the
applicant. Once the application was approved, the
agent would certainly get his commission a month
after the approval if he could sell a product to a new
client and after six days to one month from the date
of release of purchased product.

3. The brand that is most sellable is the PANASONIC,

regardless of the products category.
4. Credit sales had a big positive impact to the business
as business is alive through credits because the
company could gain more from them than the cash
sales.
5. In this particular branch, customers are increasing
because as we can see, the branch had more new
customers brought up by some sales agents or just
come to the establishment for they heard in the radio
and testimonies from their neighbors that we are the
most trusted company and offers lowest prices and
promo discounts.
6. The branch has the estimated net sales of a
minimum of 1.2 million to 2.5 million a month
depends on the market season.
7. There are employees that are satisfied enough and
others not with their wages depending on their
individual perspective. At least, they deserves to the
position based on their individual qualifications and
job performances.
8. The branch manager is doing well for his job and
responsibilities in the establishment. He never
tolerates subordinates such as collectors who are not
performing their tasks in a good way such as
unremitted cash collections. He encourages the
employees for promotions if he is performing his task
effectively and efficiently through hitting the sales

target. On the other hand, there are negative

feedbacks against the branch manager.

XVIII. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
