Report
Due 25/11/16
You must format your report in Word so that it generates a title page and
table of contents. Number each page and put your name in the footer.
Part A
Introduction
Brief description of the problem/need to be investigated. Describe the main
characteristics and and features of your MDP.
Methodology
Identify the research methods to be used and justify why they have been
selected. Name the research methods (primary and secondary). Support an
argument or conclusion.. What were they?
Results
Collate the data. Insert graphs, tables, images etc. Interpret data collected
and the meaning that can be drawn from them.
What were the main observations in your research results?
Analysis
Identify and name components of your research and the relationship between
the results you have gathered; draw out and relate implications.
Eg. I found that people did not like my idea of a two story dog kennel and
because of this I have had to rethink my design.
Part B
Identification and justification of the
need
Design Brief
Motivation
Why is your design important to you? What is the primary reason that you
have chosen this project?
Eg. My motivation in designing.(your design)...is to.

What you need to do and how it must look in order for your project to be successful.
These are goals that are constantly referred back to to measure the success for your
design.
State what the product needs to do to meet the criteria. This enables you to judge the
level of achievement.
