ABSTRACT
The HealthAddict is an online web portal which enables the patients to
access the medical facilities available in hospitals which was quite difficult for
patients to get it manually. It helps out the patients by providing facilities like search
for nearby hospitals, appointment with doctors, emergency facilities etc,. It also
facilitates the aged people who are frequently prone to diabetes, BP, heart-attack, joint
pains etc,. It provides the users GUI based application that enable its users to make
their work easier with getting appointments, regular health check-ups and getting all
the hospital related information.
The software model used is iterative development model and the programming
approach used is bottom-up approach. Initially the patient will login the
HealthAddict website with the registered username and password then submits
his/her details completely. Then he/she can obtain the facilities provided in it. He/she
can book the appointment, get ambulance service, donate or request for the organs
and all other facilities available. Doctor module contains all the information about
patients, appointment details, surgeries and discharge summary. Admin updates the
hospital information and other databases which are accessed by the users. This
application is developed using MS Visual Studio and ASP.NET as a front end and
SQL Server as backend.
The outcome of the project HealthAddict is to automate all the
functionalities of Hospital, so that quality of service is improved and burden of
patients are reduced.
