Heislerchartsareagraphicalanalysistoolfortheevaluationofheattransferinthermalengineering.Theyareasetoftwochartsperincludedgeometry
introducedin1947byM.P.Heisler[1]whichweresupplementedbyathirdchartpergeometryin1961byH.Grber.Heislerchartspermitevaluationofthe
centraltemperaturefortransientheatconductionthroughaninfinitelylongplanewallofthickness2L,aninfinitelylongcylinderofradiusro,andasphereof
radiusro.
AlthoughHeislerGrberchartsareafasterandsimpleralternativetotheexactsolutionsoftheseproblems,therearesomelimitations.First,thebodymust
beatuniformtemperatureinitially.Additionally,thetemperatureofthesurroundingsandtheconvectiveheattransfercoefficientmustremainconstantand
uniform.Also,theremustbenoheatgenerationfromthebodyitself.[2][3][4]
