ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 01

Arrive London.

Welcome to your 'Co x & Kings Euro pean Experience' tour. Your Cox & Kings representative will greet
you at the 'designated meeting point' at the exit. After immigration and customs, and transfer comfortably to
your hotel (check-in after 1600 hrs).
Co x & Kings takes care to start your sightseeing the next day so that you can relax after your long flight
and get over your jetlag.
(Please no te: Depending o n the flight availability, yo u may arrive in Birmingham,
Manchester, Gatwick, Heathro w o r similar airpo rts).
Overnight in London.
Indian Dinner at the hotel.
Day 02

In London.

Live history through a guided pano ramic city to ur o f Lo ndo n. Get acquainted with some of London's
iconic landmarks like the Tower Bridge and the River Thames. Continue your tour to Hyde Park, Big Ben,
Westminster Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, London Eye, Tower of London, the famous
Piccadilly Circus, Nelson's Column at Trafalgar Square, followed by the majesty of Buckingham Palace - which
is the Queen's official residence. Enjoy the Changing of the Guards (on days when this takes place).
Next is a thrill, as you ride the Lo ndo n Eye, the world's fourth tallest ferris wheel and during the gradual 30minute flight enjoy views of London.
Enjoy some free time at Oxford Street and then reunite in the evening at a pre-appointed time and place as
informed by your Tour Manager.
Later, return to your hotel.
Overnight in London.
Breakfast and Indian Dinner at the hotel.
Day 03

Onto Paris.

Today, proceed on to Fo lksto ne to cross the English Channel through the Euro tunnel or drive to Dover to
take the ferry and arrive in Calais. Drive through beautiful landscapes to Paris, the 'City o f Lights'. On
arrival, check-in to your hotel.
The evening is at leisure or you have the Optio n to enjoy 'Gala Evening in Paris' and experience the joie de
vivre of 'Gaie Paris'.
Overnight in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 04

In Paris.

Today, visit Frago nard, an exclusive from Cox & Kings. Discover Fragonard's creations on sale at factory
prices.
Our next stop is the famed Grevin Wax Museum, an exclusive fro m Co x and Kings! Grevin, a
legendary site of entertainment since 1882, was created by Alfred Grevin, to produce and showcase life size
wax models of celebrities.
At the end of the 19th Century, Arthur Meyer, founder of the famous daily newspaper 'Le Gaulois', conceived
the notion of showing his readers the people in the headlines of his paper, but in 3-D. At a time when the
press did not use photographs, he came up with the idea of creating a site where the public could see
people in the news. To implement this original plan, he called on Alfred Grevin, who was a cartoonist,
designer and famous sculptor. The Grevin opened its doors on June 5th, 1882. It was an immediate success.
At Grevin, relive glorious French history, meet celebrities and experience the spirit of Paris, with over 300 wax
figures in a setting of gold and marble! The latest addition is our very own "Shah Rukh Khan".

Enjoy a guided pano ramic city to ur visiting famous monuments like the Pyramid of the Louvre, Garnier's
Opera, the largest opera theatre in the world, the River Seine, the Place de la Concorde - the site of the
infamous guillotine, the Champs Elysees - one of the most fashionable streets in the world, the Napoleanic
Arc de Triomphe and the Hotel des Invalides.
End the day taking in the dazzling overview of the glittering city as you ascend by an elevator to the 2nd
level of the Eiffel To wer!
After dinner, return to your hotel.
Overnight in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 05

Onto Netherlands.

Today, it's on to Brussels. On arrival, enjoy a Walking Orientatio n to ur which takes you to the
magnificent Gothic St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral. Then via Galeries Saint Hubert - the world's first
shopping mall, opened in 1847, to the Grand Place, Europe's most beautiful square. This exquisite market
square is the main tourist attraction of the city. Time permitting, shop here for world famous Belgian lace,
chocolate and Belgian Waffles dusted with caramelized sugar. Mmmm!
Visit the Manneken Pis, (pho to sto p) - the cheeky statue of a boy, representing the 'irreverent spirit' of
Brussels, which has drawn sightseers for centuries.
Drive through Dutch countryside. If you come to Holland when tulips are in bloom (only from March 24th to
May 16th), visit the famous Keukenho f Tulip Gardens. The rest of the year we visit Maduro dam - an
enchanting miniature city that features the best of the Netherlands.
After dinner, check-in to your hotel.
Overnight in Netherlands.
Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 06

Onto Rhineland.

Today, after breakfast, let the Windmills which still wield their magic enchant you. There's a pho to sto p at
one. We now drive to Amsterdam. Clo gs, Cheese and Holland are inseparable and a factory visit
demonstrates this business.
The canals beckon as you board a glass topped boat and glide past regal mansions, houseboats and
bridges. A canal cruise in Amsterdam is a rewarding experience.
Spend some free time at Dam Square with the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), the Royal Palace and the
National Monument.
Continue your scenic drive to Co lo gne, the metropolis on River Rhine, where on arrival you will visit the
Cathedral - the first Gothic Church in the Rhineland with its characteristic spires.
After dinner, check-in to your hotel.
Overnight in the Rhineland.
Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 07

Onto Switzerland.

This morning, sit back and relax on an enjoyable drive through the Black Fo rest to arrive at Drubba - the
alpine nest of the Cuckoo Clock situated in the unique Hollental (Hell's Valley), directly at the mouth of the
Ravennaschult (Ravenna Glen). Witness a demonstration to explain the making of authentic cuckoo clocks in
their original form, each piece carefully crafted for precision! The Cuckoo Clock is said to have originated
between 1740 and 1750 and has remained more or less unchanged in its unique design.
A visit here is a memorable experience.
See the thundering Rhinefalls at Schaffhausen. Take a boat to the foot of the falls. After dinner, check-in
to your hotel.

Day 08

In Switzerland.

The day is at leisure. You can choose an o ptio nal excursio n to Jungfrau, the 'Top of Europe', a
wonderful world of glaciers and eternal ice and Interlaken city tour.
Note: Guests not availing the optional tour to Jungfrau will get a packed dinner.
Overnight in Switzerland.
Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 09

Onto Innsbruck.

Today, proceed on to Lucerne witnessing picturesque mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and
meadows, the poignant Lion Monument, the covered, wooden Kapellbrucke (Chapel Bridge) to the ornate
Jesuit Church.
You will have another encounter with the marvels of Swiss shopping.
Later, your drive takes you to the Principality of Liechtenstein and a stop at Vaduz - the capital, famous for
its postage stamps.
Carry on your scenic drive to Innsbruck in Austria. Located on the Inn River, Innsbruck is one of Europe's
most beautiful and lively cities. An international centre for winter sports, it has hosted the Winter Olympics
twice!
Take the Hungerburg funicular to No rdkette and enjoy the mountain top with the twinkling, shimmering
city below. On reaching the upper station at 2256 m above sea level, enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of
Innsbruck on one side and the unforgettable vista of untouched, pristine nature on the other. A visit here set
between the mountain range and the town, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a unique
combination of relaxation, the wonder of nature, and modern architecture.
Our o rientatio n to ur introduces you to its world famous sights. View the Golden Roof or 'Goldenes Dachl',
an ornate Gothic balcony erected by the Emperor Maximilian I in the 15th century, decorated with gold
painted copper shingles. Next walk to the Imperial Church followed by the 'Hofburg' or Imperial Palace. This
Capital of the Alps, has a history of 800 years!
Visit the Swarovski Crystals outlet and indulge in some crystal shopping.
Drive to your hotel and check-in.
Overnight in Innsbruck.
Breakfast and Dinner at the hotel.
Day 10

Homeward Bound.
