Meeting Proper
A. Calling to Order and Opening Prayer Tita Cynthia called the meeting
to order at 10:25 AM.
B. Gospel Reading and Reflections The reading of the Gospel was led
by Kuya MJ Narciso. Reflections from the Gospel were given by Ate Abs,
Ate Maricar, Kuya Egay, and Tita Cynthia.
C. Matters to be Discussed
a. Reminders for the Fiesta Celebration
i. On-going Novena
1. Tita Menchie stressed that the Lectors and
Commentators should ask first who is the presider
and the sponsors of the day, and that they mustnt
forget to thank them before the final blessing of the
presider. She also added that everyone must fill in
what is lacking, and mustnt blame anyone about
their shortcomings.

2. Tita Cynth also provided commentary about the

coordination between the commentator and the
presiders in the novena masses. She also pointed
to the Greeters and Collectors Ministry to know the
sponsors beforehand, in order to lessen panicking
when assisting the offerors/sponsors during the
offertory.
ii. Reminders for March 6 (Feast Day)
Tita Cynth reminded the Ministry of Altar Servers,
the Lectors and Commentators Mnistry, and the
Mother Butler Guild to be committed in their service
in the coming Fiesta Season. She also stressed that
the novena masses must be well-attended.
Tita Cynth also reminded the karosa that will be
used in the fiesta procession will get from Ate Sevy.
The call time for the ministers and the attendees
was set at 3 PM.
iii. Other Activities (Ballroom and Disco)
1. Ballroom concerns:
Tita Menchie stated that some ministry and
organization coordinators rejected selling tickets for
the ballroom, so in order for the unsold tickets to be
sold, she suggested that the ministries must make
their sales talk better and sell them and assure the
buyer that it will serve as a donation for the church.
If a ministry needs help in selling the tickets, other
ministries must help them sell.
2. Disco Night concerns:
Ate Abs reported that the Disco Night tickets were
distributed to the different organizations and
ministry under the Parish Youth Ministry. She also
reported that the decorations for the Disco Night will
be set-up by morning, and in line with that, she
requested for the food of the persons that will setup the decorations. She also stated that the Ministry
needs help in selling the disco night tickets, that the
street (D. Tuazon Avenue) closure for the said
event is now closed, and the food inside the event

will not be covered by the ticket fee. Recruitment

booths of the Youth Organizations will also be
present during the event.
b. Preparations for the Holy Week
i. Palm Sunday (March 20)
The stations (kubol) for the Procession are now ok, said
Kuya Nor, however, there will only be 5 stations present.
He also stated that he needs 10 lectors (2 for each kubol)
in order for the next kubol or station to be ready in the
readings. He requested also the ministry to coordinate with
Sister Dory for the readings in the kubol.
There will be a practice for the dramatic reading of the
Passion of the Lord on March 13.
ii. Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday
There were no activities held during the aforementioned
days. The supposed Lenten Recollection and
Kumpisalang Bayan in Holy Wednesday was moved to an
earlier date (March 19), however, Fr. Nick encouraged
everyone to visit the Jubilee Churches within the Metro
Manila during these days.
iii. Maundy Thursday (March 24)
The annual Chrism Mass will be celebrated in the
Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Cubao at 7 in the
morning. There will be a breakfast for the attendees at the
parish after the mass.
The practice for the Mass of the Lords Supper will be at
10 in the morning.
Concerns regarding the Apostles were raised in the
meeting. Suggestions were also raised by Kuya Mj, who
attended the Worship Ministry meeting at the Diocese.
He suggested the following:
a. The clothes that will be worn by the apostles
shall be their working clothes (from the

Diocese), which will represent the occupation of

the apostles;
b. The Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy
Communion will choose who will the
apostles be;
c. There must be a representation of the Youth
in the apostles;
d. The chosen apostles must (1) attend the
[Parish] Lenten Recollection, (2) be present
in all the parish activities during Holy Week,
(3) be also present in the Vigil for the Altar of
Repose, and (5) apostles with families must
be wed in the Catholic Church
The Altar of Repose will be taken care of Ate Abs and the
Youth Ministry. This time, the altar of repose will be done
inside the parish, not outside the parish, as said during the
Worship Meeting attended by Kuya Mj. There should not
be any flowers present in the Altar of Repose, the
tabernacle must be the highlight, and silence must be
observed all throughout the vigil, although songs
appropriate for the Last Supper (Dakilang Pag-Ibig, or
songs with the lyrics where there is Charity) may be
played in background. The schedule of ministries and
organizations that will be used will be the one used last
year. The prayers for the Vigil will be also simplified.
The Budget Proposal for the decorations will be approved
by the PPC, however, it still needs to be checked.
Lastly, concerns for the communion were raised, since
Kuya Mj reiterated that there must be a bread and wine
present during the communion, meaning that there must
be two (2) EMHCs per communion station. He also said
that the crumbs of hosts must be consumed immediately
after the communion. The second collection for the Mass
will be for the Poor.
iv. Good Friday (March 25)
The Grand Stations of the Cross will start at 7 in the
morning. For the carrying of the cross, the EMHCs will
handle the tasking for the cross-carrying.

The practice for the Veneration of the Cross will be at 10

in the morning. Practices for the Pagbababa kay Kristo
mula sa Krus will be on March 13th and 20th at 2 in the
afternoon, and on the 25th at 10 AM.
The Santo Entierro procession will be held right after the
Pagbababa sa Krus.
v. Black Saturday (March 26)
The Easter Vigil will be held at an earlier time, at 8 PM.
Practice for the vigil will be held on the same date, at 8 AM.
Salubong will happen right after the Easter Vigil.
c. Other Matters
Tita Menchie reiterated to cooperate with each of the ministries in
order for the following activities to be smooth and with minimal
flaws.
The ministry also celebrated the birthdays of Kuya Egay and Ate
Maricar.
D. Meeting Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 in the afternoon. The next meeting
will be announced in a later date. The closing prayer was led by Ate
Maricar.
