E VALUATION AND MARKS DISTRIBUTION

The evaluation system at RGNUL comprises of a rigorous system of examinations, project reports,
viva-voci, seminar presentations and moot courts. At the end of every semester, each student is
marked out of a total of 100 for every subject which factors in their examinations, project reports,
viva-voci and seminar presentations, thereby making 600 marks the grand total of every semester.
In the first six semesters, out of the total of 100, 35 marks are for project and viva voce, 40 are for the
end semester examinations, 20 are for the mid semester examinations and 5 are for class behavior and
attendance.
The marking criteria is changed from the fourth year onwards to reflect the nuances of every
specialization. Out of a total of 100, 80 marks are for the end semester examinations and 20 marks are
for the mid semester examinations. Project Report and Moot Court is a separate paper where the
project report and viva voce counts for 50 marks out of 100 and the performance in the Moot Court
