Grading
Theory:
Quiz 1 5%, Mid sem 35%
Quiz 2 5%, End sem 35%
Lab:
Lab report 5%, Lab quiz 10%, Feedback of supervisorial support 5%

MAKE-UP for End-sem can be considered based on DOAA directives, and when the student has
authorized leave during the exam period.
PAST INCIDENCES SHOWED THAT A STUDENT SEEKING A MAKE-UP IS USUALLY AT DISADVANTAGE.
No Make-up for Mid sem and any Quizes
ACADEMIC DISHONESTY
For cheating in the examination hall : Zero tolerance F GRADE

Directives in the lab (MUST follow):

(1) Every student must come latest by 2:20 pm and should obtain a set of instruction sheet for every
experiment from the Manufacturing Science Laboratory.
(2) Every student has to carry a copy of the lab manual.
(3) For safety every student must come to the laboratory in shoes. For the same reason, do not wear loose
garments. The Students should also ensure that floor around the machine is clear and dry (not oily) to avoid
slipping.

(4) Instruments and tools will be issued from the laboratory to one member of the group. Every student must
carry their identity card. Tools, etc. must be returned to the tool room on the same day.
(5) The student should take the permission of the Lab Staff / Tutor before handling any machine. The student
should not lean on the machine when it is working.
(6) Students are required to clear off the chips from the machine and lubricate the guides etc. at the end of the
session. Laboratory reports should be submitted in the format provided (on proper lab sheets not on plain A4
sheets) latest by 10:30 am on the following day to the laboratory office to the lab incharge Mr. Sanjeev Verma.
It will be collected by the concerned TA.
(7) Reports will not be returned to the students. Students may see the graded reports in the laboratory.
