DISASTER PHASE

In an event of any disaster or emergency tapping the organized and trained individuals for
specially assigned tasks is the best course of action, this is the rescue, relief and medical service
aspect of the plan. For each type of disaster or emergency or for any area of concern, there is an
organized team specially trained on each field of expertise. There are 54 Zones of the Barangay.
Each zone is provided with a communication facility. Zone commanders, Zone Tanod Chief and
members of the rescue team are provided with such. These key communicators are strictly
instructed to be on monitor 24 hours a day for informations and instructions which they would
disseminate to the workforce for action. In each area of concern, there is an identified
communication center to avoid overlapping of stations and commands, because it is a fact that
failure or delay of action is often caused by unclear and unspecific informations and instructions.

The communication nerve center is RDO freq. 14.811 Callsign CONTROL. All information
could be channeled thru a 24-hour operator which would then forward all call to proper channels
or commanders for individual concerns.
